No. I struggle being free of other people's faith. This is a 'chilling' answer that gave me goose bumps.
I'm assuming you're one that does not like to be preached to...….
No one is preaching to her. She seeks out religion and then accuses it of annoying her.

No. Over time you read more, research more, figure out stuff, and put into practice what you learn. Faith isn’t something that should be in constant turmoil so it should really only be affect by changes you haven’t thought of before or challenges that contradict it. That doesn’t happen too often. Interesting.
May I ask if you follow a 'Zen' behavioral pattern and have you ever heard of I Ching?
Seems like you're own who doesn't let your 'spirit' so to speak be affected by the everyday conditions of daily life - and are much more concentrated on the mind and soul.
I wish I was a zen guy. I am someone who constantly thinks about something until I get some kind of resolution on it. However once that happens I move on to the next thing.

No, I never really doubted God's (i.e. The Holy Trinity (Father/Son(Jesus Christ)/Holy Spirit)) existence. but I am sure what your experiencing is not uncommon. plus, they say faith is a gift from God. but it makes me wonder why some people have no trouble believing while others find it difficult etc(?). I am Catholic and my moms side of the family is Irish to (I heard they went from Ireland, to Canada briefly, and then into the USA around the 1890's). so I grew up Catholic and went to weekly Mass til I was about 20 years old or so(although I fairly rarely prayed back then(which is not optional(but I did not get that back then)), was gone for about 12 years, and have been back since late 2012. I have been praying The Holy Rosary daily, with rare misses I don't make up for, since Aug 2013. also, ill add... I know The Holy Rosary works based on one thing that happened for me alone as it completely removed a certain sin from my life I thought was impossible to escape which was clear proof to me prayer works which, obviously, strengthened my faith. it took less than 3 months of praying it daily for that to occur. plus, you can see Eucharistic miracles which further shows the Catholic church is the True faith... www.ncregister.com/daily-news/the-true-presence-eucharistic-miracles-over-the-centuries-for-corpus-christwith that said... I do remember there being a brief time where I might have doubted God's existence a bit, like say around my late teens or early 20's. but at the end of the day... I pretty much always believed in God even when I left the Catholic Church during that 12 year or so time span. also, ill say this... regular prayer is not optional, but required, if one is going to grow closer to God. I think that's one thing a lot of Christians neglect is they seem to think regular prayer (as in daily prayer) is optional, but it's not, as it draws down grace from God which allows one to live a more holy life as without prayer it's like trying to do things on your own without God, it won't end well. so while I am not saying one has to pray The Holy Rosary every day, people can spare at least 5 minutes or so with some prayer like some Our Father/Hail Mary prayer and slowly work your way up from there as I realize a lot of people are really busy and all but no one is THAT busy to where they can't spare some time for prayer each day. although they say The Holy Rosary is the highest form of personal prayer there is (although the highest form of prayer straight up is the Mass) and many have praised it through the generations and, given what happened for me, I tend to agree
You reject the one thing that should not be rejected since it's the true source of ones happiness in the long term as the pleasures of the earth are passing, unlike God which lasts forever.
but like I have said before... God gave us all free will so He won't force someone to follow His truth (if He did, it would not be a true act of love on our part towards Him as we have to freely choose to reject things He says are sinful even though they might appear appealing to us). although it's very unwise to reject Him to put it mildly as when earthly death nears for a person, Jesus Christ is all that's going to matter since there is only one of two choices... Heaven with Him(Jesus Christ) or hell with satan. (although there will be a bit of a detour for many before reaching Heaven (i.e. Purgatory))
choose wisely

No one is preaching to her. She seeks out religion and then accuses it of annoying her. I DO love it when posters on here propound what THEY think that I think! Religious posters are especially excellent at this. If religion would leave me alone I would be the happiest person. Unfortunately there is the religious right in politics which tries to impose their values on things in my life. They think that they have the right to choose how I live my life sexually, reproductively, morally and any other area of my life that they think they know better than because 'god'( or the equivalent).

goz Well there is stuff that happens in the world that suggests the Catholic religion is the true faith which some of it I posted in here already with the Eucharistic miracles (i.e. www.ncregister.com/daily-news/the-true-presence-eucharistic-miracles-over-the-centuries-for-corpus-christ ) which defy the laws of nature and other stuff like... -Our Lady of Las Lajas (image on a rock from the year 1754) -Our Lady of Guadalupe (image from the year 1531) -Fatima (from the year 1917 with the 'miracle of the sun') -St. Pio (1887-1968) etc. people who say there is no proof (or at least God's existence is plausible) tend to be these types of people... "To one who has faith, no explanation is necessary. To one without faith, no explanation is possible." - St. Thomas Aquinas because for some people they just refuse to believe, or maybe they don't want to because then they might have to change the way they live etc. God's existence is at least plausible, if not probable for those who can see. I never understood those people who flat out deny God's existence as highly unlikely to non-existent as I think there is stuff to suggest more of the opposite, like I posted etc.

If theophobics come here, it is to tear the theist arguments down and vice versa, but the theists always fail. Yes, posters get preached to here from both believers and non-believers, but this is ultimately a discussion topic thread created about discussion regarding RFS and is not consecrated cyber space. None of it is.

Wonder if you can please share you views friends,
Per the Old Testament - it states if you 'believe' in other 'Gods' you're doomed to go to hell.
This is something I struggle with mightily.
I was raised / conditioned to believe this - because of the area I grew up in.
I want to be blunt - I am not condoning/condemning Catholicism. I still have a Bible in my bed and hold many Psalms and Proverbs close to my heart - however I struggle with - who am I to judge what another believes in?
i.e. if I was born/raised in China - maybe I'd flock torwards Buddhism, - i.e. if I was raised / born in India - maybe I would flock towards Hinduism.
I consider myself 'Spirtual' - i.e. treat others the way you want to be treated, never judge and live and let live - which is why I find this 'Zen' way of living fascinating as it creates a 'peace of mind' so to speak.
does this mean I will burn in hell?

To be clear, the OT is not talking to us directly which is why Christians eat bacon and wear cotton. That was an agreement he had with the Israelites to protect them as a nation.
Also the command was regarding worship of other gods not belief in them.
Gods are whatever someone puts faith in and he would never appreciate providing for someone only for them to think something else was helping.
So if one wants to put faith in God if the Bible, it’s a small matter to not trust any idol or religion to help you.

It has always amused me that some of the religious posters on here are so proprietorial about a board with the name Religion Faith and Spirituality. I can't count the number of times that Erjenious has told me to get off this Board because it is a 'religious' Board or said 'why are you here'?. Their cretinous self-entitlement is just laughable and only adds to the truth of their delusion.

This is a place where those grievances can be made and if you want to grieve for all those lost souls who aren't following your delusion, man up and get over it yourself. Do you see yourself as a victim of secular rule non-Cool?
