I know that this is a Pretty Unusual Question but when it comes to the 1995 Movie "SHOWGIRLS", Does anybody here agree that that Movie is actually 1 of those very rare types of Movies that is just so bad that it is actually a bit enjoyable to watch ?
Would that be a good way to really talk about and describe it ?
Just in case there is anybody here that has either not seen or doesn't remember the Movie "SHOWGIRLS" (there probably isn't really anybody that doesn't), Here are Some GIFS and Photos from it below!

You're kidding, right ?? Personally, this is the ONLY movie that I am CONSTANTLY saying is "So bad, it's GREAT !!". Seriously. Not kidding. Not even for a second. Like, TOTALLY.... SAVE FERRIS

That's what it's generally perceived as. And unless you have amnesia of some sort, I think you know this.
But let's bot forget how bad it is.

I liked it. But only because the two main leads were amazingly beautiful (especially when you watched Saved By the Bell and fantasized about Jesse... haha). I can't really watch it again though, the plot is pretty thin. I actually took the bluray of it (along with some others) and donated it to the local charity resale shop last week.

I am just asking if there is anybody else here who also thinks that the Movie can definitely be talked about and described in that sort of way.

Awesome movie. A film admired by the late great Jacques Rivette.

There are 3 types of people when it comes to this movie.
1. People who flat out hate it.
2. The people who think it's "so bad it's good."
3. The people who legitimately consider it great satire.

anthonyrocks It's interesting that you think Showgirls can only be enjoyed as a joke but you consider Black Swan which shamelessly ripped Showgirls off to be a "prestige film. Have you had a chance to watch both films since I pointed out the numerous similarities in them?

I think that "BLACK SWAN" is a Great Movie (which "SHOWGIRLS" isn't) and also a Creepy Movie as well (which "SHOWGIRLS" isn't) with some Great Acting Performances (which "SHOWGIRLS" doesn't have) from Natalie Portman, Mila Kunis, and Winona Ryder in it.

Both Elizabeth Berkley and Gina Gershon looked Absolutely Stunning in it.

I liked Showgirls from day 1. Seriously ?
I remember thinking that it was weird when I first saw it (back in 1996 when I was still in my early teens).

I liked Showgirls from day 1. Same for me. It's an entertaining movie. People say it's too trashy, but aren't most Paul Verhoeven movies trashy but entertaining? Also, it's about Las Vegas showgirls, so it's kinda supposed to have a trashy feel about it.

Yeah it is not an "X" Rated Movie.
I remember that when it first came out, It was Rated "NC-17" however I think that at some point, they eventually dropped it down to an "R" Rating. I may be incorrect on that though!
