So Many Free Agent Signings Today and NOT 1 OF THEM was done by the New York Knicks or the Los Angeles Lakers.
Now I am not a Knicks Fan, I am however a Lakers Fan and I am really really mad right now.
The Team has become a Freaking Joke!

Dude....you got LeBron fucking James last season. Just traded for Anthony Davis. The Knicks are a joke. The Lakers? No so much. What do you need them to do? Sign every fucking free agent? You seem to be a bad LA fan. Mad that the Dodgers made the world series yet not win only to demand Roberts be fired. Didn't you also demand Goff be benched in the Super Bowl? You just seem like a bitchy fan imo. It seems like as a Lakers fan you're entitled to every big name free agent.

Yeah we got LeBron James and then he got hurt during the season and it all ended up being a DISASTER.
Because of that, Magic Johnson abandoning ship because of Rob Pelinka, and the constant failed seasons that the Lakers have had since 2011, I have to look at things in a negative fashion. Plus I am smart enough to know that LeBron James and Anthony Davis (and even Kyle Kuzma) aren't enough to Win them a Championship.
Plus, if either James or Davis get hurt during the season then the Lakers are instantly Finished. That is why I want them to get more (like even just 1 BIG Name Free Agent I would be happy with).
When it comes to Dave Roberts and Jared Goff, I will concede that Roberts is a Great Regular Season Manager but then in the World Series, He just makes Really Bad Moves with his Pitchers. With Goff, That guy looked like a Deer in Headlights that entire game and he was playing like a Freaking Coward, I wasn't demanding that he be benched during that game, I was Screaming for it.
By the way....

This is a pointless concern. If any NBA team loses one of their top two players they're instantly finished, the Lakers are no different in this regard. Toronto just proved you can compete for a title with one superstar and a solid supporting cast. (I say compete because it's questionable they would've won without the injuries GS suffered). If the Lakers make even a few decent moves between now and the trade deadline in February, they'll be contenders.

He wasn't a Free Agent, They had to Trade for him and even though he is a Great Player, I still think that the Lakers gave up too much for him.
That being said, I am still happy that the Lakers got him but him, LeBron James, and Kyle Kuzma are still NOT Enough for them to Win an NBA Championship.
The Lakers really needed to sign a BIG Name Free Agent and now the only BIG Name that is left is Kawhi Leonard and I am certain that he is going to stay in Toronto.

Magic left because he is Magic and cant committ to anything longterm. Whether its owning/running a team or being on TV. It's become his reputation. Blaming managers so much in baseball is kind of pointless. In the end the players are the ones that got to perform. Managers simply set the lineup and decide when to pull a pitcher. They can mismanage a bullpen but really it's hard to blame a manager for losing a world series against the best team in the league. Benching Goff for Manion is/was laughable at the time and still is. I'm not much of an NBA fan so I dont root for one particular team. I have a few players I support and root for but that's it. LeBron being one of them. |

Anywho, so trading for this Anfernee Dafis guy doesn't count because he wasn't a free agent? A team acquiring an all-star (Antony is a former all star, right?) is only helpful if that player was a free agent? Clearing cap space in order to acquire Kawhi is only a good thing if they sign him within the first 48 hours of the new season (and still 24 hours before any free agent can technically be signed)? The talking heads are saying the Lakers are the favorite of landing Tony Davida. More than half of the NBA teams haven't acquired a top 10 player this offseason, yet only you are complaining. |

Anthony Davis is injury prone. He was hurt every season with the Pelicans. I will pay you $5,000 if Anthony Davis can make it through one season without getting hurt. And I think the Lakers gave up way too much to acquire Davis. The Pelicans got the best of that deal. |
