Who thinks it's the most well written and complex of any Star Wars script? i mean such excellent quality writing, characterizations and giving characters layers.

Well part of that is because George Lucas had no involvement with the writing.

Well part of that is because George Lucas had no involvement with the writing. Not true. After he tossed out Leigh Brackett's script, Lucas wrote the drafts for Empire Strikes Back himself and came up with the famous plot twist. He then brought in Lawrence Kasdan to polish the script.

Definitely. Kasdan would later write Raiders of the Lost Ark.

Besides Lucas wasn't really the "sole" creator of Star Wars and why the franchise was successful of the original trilogy, i mean Willard Hyuck and Gloria Katz uncreditedly cowrote Lucas's original script of A New Hope since Lucas said he can't write dialogue and same for Empire, so he hired some writers.

Don't forget that Lucas had help with the directing for the original films (Irvin Kershner and Richard Marquand).
