VAR has ruined the sport of soccer and turned it into a mechanical game like American football and baseball where everything gets challenged and looked at.

I watched the highlights this morning.
Objectively...
England were woeful, sloppy disorganised defending, terrible at the back.
That penalty was rubbish. You can see the keeper going low right on the run up, and Houghton still kicked the ball to that spot.
The USA were very clinical up front. Hard to contain.
But... I still don't think they have really been tested this World Cup. They will obviously be favourites to lift the trophy on Sunday, but I reckon either the Netherlands or Sweden are capable of turning them over on a good day.

I don't think many neutrals will be getting behind the US. As well as a winning mentality that American teams are good with, I wish they would teach that humility can go a long way in sport.

Yeah, I think they threw away any neutral support with the whole Thailand game attitude.

Women's game is really catching up with the men. Not in terms of quality, but in shitty sportsmanship. This just reminded me of why I hate professional football.

I'm actually surprised a team managed by Phil Neville got to a semi final.
