Yes, you'd say many things that a disgusting gay boy would say, but it doesn't require anyone to take you seriously. You've never been taken seriously in your life erj. Only people take you seriously, when they see that there are some big ass issues going on with ya! You got some of that right, but at least I'm not a queer.

You got some of that right, but at least I'm not a queer. You are in the queer closet buddy, otherwise it wouldn't bother you so much. Keep telling yourself that. Make it real in your mind.

Well ain't it obvious? basically when we pass from this life into the next you only have two final destinations... Heaven(good) or Hell(bad). you don't want to be on the wrong side of that one. so those who reject Jesus Christ by living a life of sin etc can end up in hell which is the worst thing that can happen to someone, by far. because once someone is in hell, ALL is lost and all that remains is suffering/hate within that person, forever, as no trace of good can exist for that person anymore. your eternal soul is not something you want to gamble on. Have you ever been baptized? ; because this is crucial... www.catholic.com/tract/the-necessity-of-baptismbut just to list some basic thing I am confident many Christians sweep under-the-rug as no big deal even though it is a big deal... regular prayer (as in daily prayer) is not optional but required if one wants to grow closer to God and avoid sin, especially what you mention will be difficult, if not impossible, to escape on your own as it's lust which is a vice (it's also serious sin in general which can send one to hell if not repented of etc) and it's pretty easy for many to fall into lust given how much it's in peoples faces nowadays with TV/Internet etc and it's one of our most powerful urges. but with God's grace one can help avoiding falling into it. but one has to want to truly be free from it as God gives us all free will and He won't force someone to do something otherwise it would not be a act of love on our part towards Him. p.s. I strongly recommend praying The Holy Rosary daily. but if that's a bit too much to start with, at least spend a few minutes or so and work your way up in prayer. start with something basic like the 'Our Father' and 'Hail Mary' prayers. What your asking here conflicts because your focused on beating the lust which you simply won't be able to do without God's grace which you obtain from regular prayer etc. so you will need Jesus Christ basically in order to do that. so it's like your basically trying to beat the lust on your own instead of relying on Jesus Christ (basically your putting Him on the back burner), which simply won't work. trust me on this one also, as a general rule with prayer... don't expect answers fast (I realize as humans we want answers quickly and many tend to give up on prayer when it's not answered quickly. but that's a mistake as you simply pray regularly regardless of your feelings about prayer(like sometimes prayer might be a bit of a chore and other times you might feel some consolations etc) and trust, and have Faith, in God) as I tend to look at prayer as something that slowly works over a period of time. try to think of it in terms of months/years/decades.
with that said... it's a good sign you asked about this stuff as it shows your headed in the right direction ; your choosing to reject something that's bad in the eyes of God instead of going with the flow of the world that so many do in today's world with no restraint when it comes to the sexual desire.

Wanting to live a more moral life and wanting to be a Christian are two separate things. Living morally might be a part of being a Christian, but being Christian is accepting Jesus as your saviour. You can live a moral life without being a Christian, but you can't be a Christian without Christ. But do you think you can be a Christian without trying to live a moral life?

I know that sounds silly. Of course they are.. that's like.. the whole point. But why?
I find myself consistently looking for ways to live a less hedonistic lifestyle. In other words.. a less "sinful" lifestyle. Most atheists don't much believe in the concept of sin so they aren't helpful, but you'd imagine a Christian might be able to give some advice. Yet I've asked a few and their first response is asking me if I've accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior, and if not, would I like to? Okay, I get it. That's part of the whole thing. But what a huge commitment to make right off the bat! Especially for a person who hasn't had a consistent experience with religion. Clearly I'm trying to seek a way to live a morally healthier life which should be considered a good thing from a religious standpoint, why can't we just focus on that first? Maybe we could just table the whole "devotion to an omnipotent force" thing for later.
"Christians are way too into Jesus "
Is it obvious?

It's a cop-out for Christians to think that something that doesn't even exist is going to save them. Save them from what I wonder, themselves? Not a single Christian I've ever met believes that something that doesn't exist is going to save them. Myself and all of the ones I know believe that the God who made everything became a man and lived a perfect life in our place and then he died in our place and has already saved us from a very real place called Hell. What you say we believe is a thing of your own making

You said that christians think that God doesn’t exist.
I know of no such Christians anywhere.
You understand nothing of Christians.
Also- your requirement for proof of a thing that we take by faith is meaningless. Your requirement isn’t our requirement.

To say that Christians believe a thing they don’t believe and then criticize that thing is a thing that I’ll call out when I see it as it makes false claims and then ridicules which is just slander. To say that you don’t have faith in what Christians have faith in is fine.

You are then lying about those people. No, it is not. If I base my 'opinion' on what is said on these Boards, then I am neither lying nor slandering when I criticise those words and their meaning. I repeat, stating a truth can never be slander nor lying. You can believe whatever you like and I have the right to have an opinion on stated beliefs on a pubic message board. Get over it.

Not only does he/she assign beliefs to believers that aren’t even what they believe- he/she isn’t paying attention very well either. Sigh.

You even quoted yourself here.
Do you have comprehension issues? I commented beliefs don't exist and if they do, where are they? Do you not think that Christians want to assign their bogus beliefs to others to tell them what they should believe in and how they should act?
You clearly stated that Christians believe in something they know isn’t real. Insulting the messenger doesn’t fix your problems.

So long as that relationship exists in your mind only and doesn’t involve externalities with properties which have already been established.
