Jalen Rose said that according to people that he knows up in Toronto that are close to the situation, he has heard that Kawhi Leonard will re-sign with the Toronto Raptors for a 2 year deal.
If that is indeed true (and I do believe Kawhi Leonard is indeed staying in Toronto) then....................CALLED IT!!!

Cant stand Jalen Rose but I could buy in that he has legit sources up there. Would be hard for Kawhi to leave a team just after winning the championship. He seems to have more awareness of his legacy than somebody like Durant who just lumped onto a Championship team so he could get a ring.

2 years in Toronto makes too much sense.
It allows the peak LeBron shit show to blow over in LA. He can sign with the Clippers in 2yrs when he's eligible for even more money after 10 vet seasons. His daughter will be ready for real school in home LA by then.
I really doubt he flew all the way back to Toronto earlier to tell them no.
Also he loves winning & the Raptors are defending champions.

Interesting, just now listening to Bill Simmons Podcast (which is from Yesterday mind you) they're straight up treating it like Kawhi is for sure signing with the Lakers. Kind of funny.

More than likely we will all find out the truth tomorrow but I do believe what Jalen Rose said will end up being true, I think Kawhi Leonard is going to stay in Toronto (Heck, I have thought that ever since the Raptors won Game 6 of the NBA Finals, LOL).

I haven't paid much attention. Just looking at Twitter you've got different people reporting different things. I guess Stephen A Smith is saying he's going to the Lakers, Jalen is saying the Raptors, some other dude is saying Lakers, another is saying Clippers still in play. I don't care enough to deep dive into any of it. I will say I find NBA Free Agency far more interesting than actual NBA basketball games. The reactions and drama to it can be entertaining.

I actually also just found out something interesting.....Apparently, Jabari Young (of "The Athletic") reported that Kawhi Leonard and his reps may take a few more days to go over the process and make a Decision and also that No 2-Year Deals have been discussed.
