As you can see by that cover they went broke because they got woke. This is happening to every American institution.

As you can see by that cover they went broke because they got woke. This is happening to every American institution. There are a lot of comedians who make fun of both sides, just like there are a lot of Americans who hate both Trump and all this woke crap.

Well that's a hell of a long time to run so at least the people behind the magazine can be proud of that.

It's sad to lose an old friend. I started off reading MAD in the late 1960s. I still remember some of the movie/tv parodies such as 201 Minutes of A Space Idiocy. I often saw the parody before the movie. For me MAD was a worthy step to National Lampoon Magaxine in the 70s.

. Blimey. That's a dent. Been around as long as I can remember. I loved the movie parodies and foldovers and guides and have been a collector and fan of Don Martin's art since.......as long as I can remember. The Alfred E Neuman image is up there with the Superman, Macdonald's, Coca Cola logos etc as familiar, comfy slipper, iconic images of America. Walking Dead comic, Mad mag.......funny week. What next?

Sad news. I grew up reading MAD; it wasn't only entertaining, but also was a real education in how the world worked. If I'd had kids, I would have made MAD required reading for them so they would develop a healthy cynicism about politics, advertising, the entertainment world, etc. So long to the usual gang of idiots!

Ugh this sucks. I remembered my first Mad magazine. It was the Ghostbusters 2 issue with Alfred as the logo with the thumb down. I didn’t even know what Mad was at the time when I read that issue. All I knew was that it had Ghostbusters on the cover. I’ve been a fan ever since. I must admit though it stopped being funny a few years ago.

That's a shame.
This prompted me to read up on Cracked, which was a ripoff of MAD. That one stopped publication in 2007.
