9/10 - "Under appreciated on release" sums it up perfectly. In the 80s and 90s, I considered it one of the most underrated movies ever. Glad to see it has developed a cult following.

Excellent movie, great tension, it also keeps things simple and straightforward, which is needed for this kind of movie. A 9 for me.

A solid 9/10. Gets better with each watch and the effects are still better than what you see in most horror movies today.

Under appreciated on release, highly regarded now. What's your rating? What's your rating?I wouldn't normally rate anything 10/10 if I had the option - I always hope there will be something greater made in the future. But seeing as it is the greatest movie of all time I'd say around 9.8/10...so I clicked 10.

10/10 - A horror/sci-fi classic. I saw it when first released in the theatre and fell in love with it then. I couldn't count the number of times I've watched it since, and it never fails to entertain like the first time I saw it.
I was always shocked to learn it wasn't an instant hit, which is a shame on so many levels, and probably why we haven't seen anything like it since.
