3- however that does not mean that edits haven't been made to the bible in translations because of previous mistakes or altered to fit a culture of the time. Because of previous mistakes, probably - the KJV, (the atheist's favourite) is often guilty of mistakes. But to "fit the culture of the time", not a chance! Do you really think that would go un-noticed? |

Making the Bible more comprehensible is what new translations are for. They are not "edits". I am a translator so I know. We have had this conversation before. Translating is different to transcreation. The bible has been transcreation. When did you become a translator? Too bad. "Transcreation" is an invention of the PR and advertising industries. I have been a translator since 2013. (I am not saying of what, or where it is to be found, as supes will harass the man I worked for) |
