Cardassia is finished Dukat. Face it. Anyway. They're both great films, as is the third entry in the prequel trilogy, if you're willing to take a step back.

I don't know how anyone could consider any of the prequels better than the past two Star Wars films. TFA and Rogue One are heads and shoulders better than the prequel films.

I'm reminded of an Alan Ladd line, I think from "One Foot in Hell", where he says "I don't take sides in trash against trash".

No.
I actually like the love story and I think the movie does a good job of showing some of the reasons why he could end up going to the dark side. His arrogance and ego and the stuff with his mother and feelings of guilt and so on. Plus it has Christopher fucking Lee fighting Yoda. It also has fantastic art direction.
Say what you want about Christiansen but I'll take his performance over Jake Lloyd's any day of the week and it also doesn't have anything as silly as the sports announcers in The Phantom Menace.

I wonder if there's a Jedi mind trick to help me forget Phantom Menace.

yes, it's messy and boring, combined with a very annoying and whiny performance from hayden, the phantom menace is just boring with a dull performance from a kid.....a kid...he's just a kid.

Attack of the Clones is much better to me. It has some absolutely spectacular scenes: the speeder chase through Coruscant, Obi-Wan's fight with Jango on Kamino, and the final arena battle on Geonosis. The performances are also better all-around in AotC.
The only asset that The Phantom Menace boasts over Attack of the Clones is Darth Maul. I will always love Darth Maul.

In fact, Attack of the Clones is really the only reason I still bother with the prequels at all.

Agreed, except for the parts in Clones where Yoda fights with Christopher Lee and where Natalie Portman starts getting her clothes torn off by monsters. Liked those two scenes.
