I remember when the networks still showed theatre movies. No matter how long it was, they fit it into a two hour time slot with commercials. Which probably meant that if the movie was two or more hours, they would have cut out more than nudity and R rated violence when they showed it to put in the ads.
Now the movies are shown on commerical cable channels and they can take a two hour movie and make it last for three or even more hours! Is that because they are cutting out less while still adding tons of the ads?
