Been working my way through the last of the episodes of this series.
They make him less sinister--more of a good-hearted scoundrel.
I wonder if they retconned the Third Man timeline since they have him running around Europe post WW 2 in several episodes and I imagine there must be some reference that dates a show after the movie (they also drop the voice over narration which explains that he was killed--and thus speaking as a ghost).
