Same reason as it takes the Bible to be the final word on murder as well. So, what's your point (regarding the fact that Polanski wouldn't plead guilty)? The bible is not the final word and context, because the majority of people are NOT believers— something you fail to grasp in your simplemind—and context appears to be something you were born to not understand, let alone being blessed with NO common sense.  In case you are forgetting, you were the one who asked about the Teachings, that priests that committed sex crimes, had distorted the teachings of the Catholic Church. I showed you where.
