Could be a biography, autobiography, but I'd love to hear someone who was "in" the scene who instead of trying to be friends with everyone and sugar coat everything, it would be nice to read more honesty and critique, even of the entire scene.

Louise Brooks, Lulu in Hollywood is great reading. She didn't belong there and the feeling was mutual.
