I don't care, just play it loud.
Because under the circumstances, I expect I might have trouble hearing it.

Hey, "Yakety Sax" aka "Benny Hill Theme" was my runner-up choice! No joke! I would have picked this one for you!

1. Something solemn: Chopin's "Tristesse" Etude Opus 10, # 3 2. Something religious: "My Sweet Lord" by George Harrison 3. And then something on the lighter side: "Toot-Toot-Tootsie Goodbye", as recorded by Mel Blanc

I went to a funeral where that was the song the deceased had requested. It sure made the lyrics much more moving.

I went to a funeral where that was the song the deceased had requested. It sure made the lyrics much more moving. It was also played at my grandfather's funeral, on my mother side, a few years ago. It's the music of his time but I found it to be quite interesting, especially when you look at the montage of pictures being displayed at the funeral home.
The lyrics really do apply to the later years of life and about remembrance of what you did. It can also apply to pretty much anyone.

Playing your own song is not the custom here. During the funeral procession, speakers are mounted on an autorickshaw and they play their own music for the dead. The songs are more or less the same for every funeral procession. And they play it loud enough for the dead to wake up. Although I wouldn't want to play it, if had a choice I would pick…
