I thought it was good.
I know it is just a movie. But he was a fool to let her go. Can't feel sorry for him.
And he was an inconsiderate, irresponsible asshole to miss her opening night. (They both had cellphones. They don't use the calendars?)
And Emma Stone is a great actress. But she is not a great singer.
What did you think?

I liked it but can't say I loved it as much as others did. I actually liked the ending the most.

It was phenomenal.
The best film I've seen in years.

It was phenomenal. The best film I've seen in years. movieliker said; But that being said, apparently she cared more for him than he did for her. Evidenced by the fact that we saw her dreaming of a future with him. Not only did she have feelings for him. But thoughts too. Apparently he had feelings for her too. But no thoughts. Evidenced by his not going to her opening night. And failing to keep in touch with her once her career took off. I don't feel sorry for him. He got what he wanted. He got what he deserved.

The way I see it is, she wanted somebody who put a priority on their relationship. Someone could handle the duel interests of having a career and a romantic relationship he was both passionate about. She could do it. He couldn't. So she settled for someone she didn't like as much. But she could depend on. Because she sure couldn't depend on the Ryan Gosling character. He couldn't handle the nightclub and a girlfriend. So he just ended up with the nightclub. She could easily handle both. So she got both. Just not the guy she really wanted.
