There's a scene in Jaws II where Chief Brody runs past a restaurant named Capt. Dave's. Forty years ago I delivered produce and frozen food there three times a week. The chef always gave us some fried shrimp and hushpuppies. It's still in business, but it appears they've replaced the old building with a new one.

Yes, I do. Whenever I can make out a business like a hotel or restaurant that might still be in business or discussed as a historical artifact on the Internet. Here is one of my favorites. About 45 min. into “Pitfall” (1948, directed by Andre de Toth) Dick Powell parks his car (a 1948 Studebaker Land Cruiser). In the background is the May Co. Department Store at Wilshire and Fairfax in Los Angeles. That same building is, as we speak, being renovated as part of the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures scheduled to open in early 2020.
