Because there's no way they'd spend money on a re-imagining of Atlantis: The Lost Empire, as awesome as that would be. Going back to a thread I made months ago, for some reason, audiences seem to dislike steampunk fiction onscreen as it is.

I love it as it is but I'm game for an extra 30 minutes of steampunk eye candy and more Atlantean stuff. But considering what a box office disappointment it was, I don't see this happening.

I wouldn’t mind seeing a remake of Atlantis honestly. I think Holland would be a bad choice though.
