Gotta win one first. I can't even remember them ever winning a title, not sure if they have in my lifetime. ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png)

The 1 seed will play the 8 seed, the 2 will play the 7, 3-6, and 4-5. Any takers?

Been so long I couldn't even remember. Sixers are the farthest thing from irrelevant - even in their tanking days they were a lightening rod of controversy for sports talk shows and the media and nobody could stop talking about 'The Process' on whether it was ethical or not or if it would in fact work. Old saying in life there's no such thing as bad publicity. And they've gotten their share of publicity over the years. What's worse is when nobody cares about you and nobody would notice if you fell off the face of the Earth - i.e. the Memphis Grizzlies. Now? We're elite. And will be for years. 'The Process' was not about winning 'A' title - was about winning multiple. And that begins 2019/20 ![](https://s26.postimg.cc/s8tffwvq1/cheers.gif) I need your drug dealer dude, damn you must smoke some nice shit actually.

Have sixers changed in any significant way? Have they made any acquisitions? Big time. Josh Richardson Al Horford Last week - people are sleeping on this - they signed Trey Burke to a Vet Min. Not being a homer - I love it. Just what they needed. They needed somebody that can run the point behind Ben. Not really loving the Raul Neto signing - I guess you can say he's slightly better than TJ who signed with the Pacers. Burke can be used a a 'Microwave' scorer off the bench. He plays horrific defense; however we already have an elite defensive team. He's a change of pace guy who can hit a 3 when needed. Kyle O'Quinn is also a defensive stopper behind Joel, Al - he has limited offensive however is a great defender and a good lockerroom guy. I have a massive respect for Al Horford. So underrated.

Great leader and locker room guy. Replaces the locker room presence of JJ. Very curious to see Brown's rotations. Plan seems to be to start him at the '4' however according to Brand a major role of his will be backing up Embiid at the '5'. He's 33 if memory serves with shaky knees. Can't run him into the ground like Joel. I hope Embiid sees around 32 mins a game and Horford around 28-32. Need them fresh for the playoffs. Which is why I love the Kyle O'Quinn signing - and I'm also thinking they're going to play some smaller lineups this here where you can put Mike Scott and Bolden at the '5'. They also have a '2 way' guy down on the Delaware Bluecoats who they can call up for 10 games - Norvell Pelle when they want to 'load management' - rest - Embiid and Horford. Horford plays great defense and can pop a '3' too - he killed us for years and nobody defended Joel better than Al - he was pretty much his kryptonite.

So - Whoever wins the title that year? Or The Rapts - aka Buster Douglas who enjoyed his heavyweight title for a nanosecond? I actually feel for their fans a bit. I mean winning a title is the ultimate goal - but what happens when that team falls off the face of the Earth the following year? Does a bit depression/remorse set in - or are you just happy for that 1 Title? Example - Phils won the World Series in 2008 - which was an awesome experience/feeling to witness. They were still elite for years to come (losing in the WS the next year and the playoffs in 2 straight years after that - but at least they were still in the upper echelon of MLB. Eagles - Super Bowl - 2017/2018 Season - the next year the beat the Bears in the playoffs and are expected to be one of the Top 5 teams in the league this year (they're loaded although the secondary scares me like always). Do you think the Rapts will sell out every game this year being they're going to be kind of irrelevant? Then come April their arena is like 1/2 packed and Drake is nowhere to be found? That maybe harsh - maybe a 4,5,6 Seed in the East but no chance of coming out of the East? I don't watch Rapts games so I don't know how loyal their fanbase is.

Count me on team-Clippers-should-change-their-name.
The legacy of the Clippers is arguably the lamest in all of the big 4 pro sports. At least most other teams that haven't succeeded haven't done so in such a large easy market as LA for decades.
Just don't change it to Stars. Trying to shoot too high pardon the pun leaves easy pickings for eventual low points down the road.
The Ringer made a list, I like Los Angeles Beaches - as a direct hit at the Lakers, because there ain't no f'n lakes in LA... just the one body of water, along LA's beaches.

Sticking with this theme.... How about he 'L.A. Surf'? 'Pacific'? i.e. Ocean? or just 'Ocean' - which pretty much trumps a 'Lake' 10 fold.
