I'd take the long life. It'd be cool to see the Tricentennial of the USA since I was born on the year of the Bicentennial. I wouldn't mind just being in good health in a modest house sitting on a back porch somewhere in small town Texas watching the occasional car pass by.

This sounds like one of those Twilight Zone episodes where I choose the hundred years, but get framed for murder and sent to prison for life.

Well if I end up becoming rich for the next 82 years of my life, than I’d go with Option 2.

Naturally one will side with the living longer option (i.e. option #2 in the poll).
because $1mil, while a lot, is not THAT much and even if you were given $1billion, 5 years is next to nothing which makes it flat out not worth it unless you are old enough (say something like 75-80+ years old) to where you might not make it 5 years then in which case taking the $1mil would be worth considering especially if you knew your time on earth was limited.

Well, 5 really awesome years could outweigh another 73 mediocre-to-shit ones. Though 1mil is a little low for such a trade off.

1 Million inst really that much but living to 100 sounds like a curse so I'll take the money and burn trough it in 5 years before checking out.

At this time of my life I'd go with the living to 100. If I were in my late 70s or older I mighy go with the million bucks and spend half to 3/4 of it, leaving the rest to my nephew(s)

why would anyone chose the option with shorter life? if you did, tell me more pls. 5 years is So Short... Because you can get through a shit load of drink, women and drugs in 5 years, with a million $'s.
And not have to work whilst doing it; and them.

Is it a painless death either way? Option 1: You go out in a drug induced haze whilst having a threesome with two of your favourite porn stars.
Option 2: You live to 100, but have a massive stoke in your early 40's and have to spend the rest of your life drinking your food through a straw and pissing through a catheter.

one milion is not that much. thats not even enough to get a nice place and a fancy car. and if u found some nice woman u would surely regret not being able to live longer to enjoy jwr. and drinking is a cheap hobby u can do that now too i bet
