I hope Australia win to save us from the LGBTABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ+ community's bleating about Maria Folau winning a gold medal.

I do like that the Lesbian Pride flag is literally a battle axe...

NZ win the final! Are you ready for the anti-Folau backlash? I guarantee that in the next few hours multiple idiots will write columns delegitimising NZ's win because Maria Folau should have been banned because her husband is an imbecile.
Great game 52-51. I find netball quite entertaining when it's tight and 50+ scores each.

It shouldn't matter that she's married to him. She was a successful takented athlete long before Izzy came into her life. Well done to Netball NZ for not banning their best player due to deflected outrage. Well done to the players for winning the World Cup, and well done to Folau for ignoring the Oz media shitstorm and playing brilliantly.
No sports media in the world is more sanctimonious than that in Australia. Good to see a sports body tell them to piss off.

I had no idea this existed, just googled it. This is embarrassing for anyone over the age of four to be playing. Basketball in its inception; i.e., minus the talent and athleticism required to do anything challenging or worth watching. The press actually covers this? Is there also a world tee-ball league for adults? Congratulations, New Zealand.

While the Simpsons taught us that "stupid babies need the most attention," reykahuka is a stupid adult. Best tactic is to do the opposite and simply ignore him/ her/ it.

I'm trying to imagine getting angry about somebody's opinion on netball but I just can't do it. I don't know how many negative comments I've seen about the sport of basketball on this board and I can't say it's bothered me enough to comment. Grow up.

I think the 3 seconds rule makes it the fastest sport of the like kind. I sometimes see a game when it is posted on youtube or on any website. It has much faster transition game and it requires more skills & accuracy because there's aint any backboard.

The similar sport which requires you to move while keeping control of the ball, playing defense and learning how to score from a multitude of angles actually requires more skill. I might be inclined to agree with you when the best athletes start playing netball instead of basketball.

I wasn't talking about the overall skills but skills of shooting because of absence of blackboard. Sometimes we can't grasp everything about a sport by just taking high level view. I believe you may not have seen enough of netball to judge it properly. Although everyone is free to have a subjective opinion on what requires more skills. The 3 second rule makes netball a very unique sports primarily because it demands a lot more coordination and team work than similar sports. Basketball has its own different set of skills that is unique to it. One can say running game and dribbling will be unique selling point of basketball.
