I'm surprised Warner Bros didn't show anything from DC because they should have had footage for Wonder Woman and Birds of Prey as well as another trailer for Joker.
I know the Marvel one announced a lot but they showed nothing?

Well, they showed a trailer for Harley Quinn and made several anouncements of their tv/streaming shows but they avoided Hall H like all other major studios...

They knew! They knew they were going to be outclassed and forfeited. Well, MCU ran away from Hall H the past couple of years. Now when MCU has Hall H all to themselves, the best they can come up with is Shang-Chi, Eternals, and a female Thor? LOL!!!

The last 5 Best Picture winners have been shown at the Venice Film Festival so if Joker is shown at the Venice Film Festival, it could not only be the 1st CBM to get a legitimate Oscar nomination for Best Picture (without resorting to the use of the race card) but also could be the 1st CBM to actually win the Best Picture Oscar.

The lineup for the Venice Film Festival is expected to be announced this Thursday. But yes, it's been mentioned that Joker may premiere at the Venice Film Festival. The last 5 Best Picture winners have been shown at the Venice Film Festival so if Joker is shown at the Venice Film Festival, it could not only be the 1st CBM to get a legitimate Oscar nomination for Best Picture (without resorting to the use of the race card) but also could be the 1st CBM to actually win the Best Picture Oscar. "Legitimate", LOL, you're so salty that the real 1st CBM to get a Best Picture nomination was Black Panther.

Over the last couple years we've seen the 1st superhero movie ever nominated for best Picture and a new all time box office champ. Both MCU movies. The competition (if you can even call it that) has been lightyears behind. ... and haven't you learned your lesson by now not to underestimate even the most obscure MCU property? Or do you enjoy being humiliated when your posts come back to haunt you?

My point is that DC-Fan is already claiming that 'Joker' will be nominated for Best Picture, but given the portfolio of Todd Phillips, there is a good chance that the film itself will be a mixed bag. |
