You're late to the party. Alfre Woodard was in Civil War and Luke Cage as two different characters.

They’re not going to let an acclaimed actor appearing in a Netflix show stop them from using that actor in the movies. Besides, Kevin Feige had pretty much zero involvement in the Netflix shows, so pretty much any connection they have to the movies are one sided at this point. Maybe that’ll change in the future, but for right now, don’t expect to see Charlie Cox’s Daredevil interact with Tom Holland’s Spider-Man anytime soon.

After the 20th time watching The Avengers, I noticed one of the New York cops is the same actor who plays Agent Sousa from Agent Carter. It'd be cool if they were retconned as father and son or something.
It's too bad about the Netflix shows. I like the little references to the movies. They're rare, but nice.

Don't get me wrong, I love the continuity. I've seen every MCU property except Runaways and they all connect to each other in small ways. The Netflix shows all reference the films in small ways, Agents of SHIELD has referenced Daredevil, Cloak & Dagger season 1 referenced Luke Cage. It's all connected, but from the perspective of the films you can get away with less than 100% continuity with the shows because they've never acknowledged those characters/storylines.

Wasn't the actress who played Peter Quill's mom in Captain America: The First Avenger?

Does this mean we can get Jon Bernthal as Wolverine?

Does this mean we can get Jon Bernthal as Wolverine? That’s...not a bad choice actually.

I don’t really mind.
I liked that Djimon Hounsou was in Aquaman and Shazam!

I think out of already existing MCU actors, either Jon Bernthal or Frank Grillo would make pretty good Wolverine's. Frank Grillo looks more like Wolverine but Bernthal's tough-guy acting fits Wolverine's personality more.

The all connected thing stopped being true 5 years ago when Feige got the MCU split into 2 brands Marvel Studios aka the true MCU and Marvel TV aka the redheaded stepchild of the movies, Feige runs Studios whilst Perlmutter runs TV, this is why the movies started paying the actors far more, rehired composers, basically stopped being cheap and treat fans like idiots, Perlmutter runs the TV which is why they reference each other but none of it matters to the movies.
Also why the Disney+ MCU shows will be real MCU shows because Marvel Studios is going to be behind them not Marvel TV.

If they hadn't already cast him as Crossbones, Frank Grillo would have made a great Punisher, but he's already in his mid 50s. Bad timing I guess.
I've always thought Jon Bernthal would make a great Wolverine. He's got the right look, physicality, height, demeanor, ferocity, etc. Just depends on when they start making new X-Men movies, which is not likely to be anytime soon. Bernthal's not exactly a spring chicken anymore.

Age is just a number. Tom Cruise is 57 and still does his own stunts including hanging off of airplanes in flight.
