I agree that its a kids movie like the MCU movies. What I don't understand is why? DC is so good with adult movies. Hopefully they can make this up to fans with The Joker.

It really is a kids movie. I liked it a lot but it’s absolutely silly in how childish the jokes are.
The part where Sivana was giving his bad guy speech and Shazam couldn’t hear him was literally no different than Ronan making his bad guy speech and Star-Lord interrupting him with dancing.
And the boardroom sins scene was basically a slightly darker rip-off of the Mooby’s boardroom sins scene in Dogma.

Also the same joke was done for Kung Fu Panda 2 as well. Oh wow I had completely forgotten about that. So a rip-off from an actual kids cartoon. I just don’t understand the blatant hypocrisy and bias. At least the previous DCEU films had a clearly different tone to compare but Shazam is just full of childish jokes. And I don’t even think that’s a bad thing, I still enjoyed it a lot, but I don’t understand how someone who praised Snyder’s version of DC while consistently criticizing anything unlike it could’ve enjoyed Shazam at all.
