Who has seen this odd little gem? A great character study, this movie turned me on to John Savage, who plays mentally unstable very well. He is very appealing and likeable. And Ann Sothern as his overbearing mom, this really is just as good a movie as "Psycho", just much more raw and unpolished.
And then there's Ruth Roman. Such a disturbing scene THAT was ! Brrrr.....
Anyway, a great, haunting, low-budget movie that I imagine too few people have heard of.

Great movie. John Savage and Cindy Williams. I might have known you'd be the one, petrolino! Nice! It is a great movie. I was rather surprised to see Shirley Feeney in this role.

Yes, she was. She was so enormously appealing and cute and very funny as Shirley Feeney, that I forget how good she was in "The Conversation" and "The Killing Kind" and "American Grafitti".

Nice that Possession Of Joel Delaney was on youtube not some time ago and I had a chance to see that one. Quite disturbing in parts.

Nice that Possession Of Joel Delaney was on youtube not some time ago and I had a chance to see that one. Quite disturbing in parts. Ahhhh... You got to see "Possession of Joel Delaney"! Awesome! Yes, there were some disturbing parts and Shirley MacLaine was excellent. And Perry King has that special male androgyny charm and appeal. What a total beauty. Also, did you catch my gal Pat in the small, non-speaking appearance at the mental hospital? Thank you for your comment. The early 70s were just about beyond reproach. TKK is a very interesting movie that is almost unclassifiable. It's just original. It is up on youtube. Great, haunting theme, too. There is a "Midnight Cowboy" tone to the opening credits scene. Another oddie - but goodie - also from 1973, is "The Baby". What a weird, fascinating movie that was! Weird weird weird! But no movie ever like it before or since. Strangely enough, both movies feature Ruth Roman, of the original cigarette smoker's voice! She is a very scary mother! I think you would like it. You should check out the trailer. www.imdb.com/title/tt0069754/videoplayer/vi3877416473?ref_=tt_ov_vi
