It's just not happening for England. Ali just isn't test standard. Australia adding runs easily. Can't really see where any wickets are going to come from. Australia ahead in the game right now IMO. Exactly. I don't know how stupid is England management to try Ali in spite of his recent poor show.

This test is headed for a draw. What are you talking about, man? Lyon will destroy England in 2 sessions.

Which leaves the last day to bowl England out. Only rain can save them. Imagine that. Australia 8-122 on Day One are going to win a game by plenty at a ground they never win at.

And that will consume the whole day Australians don't need 300 runs lead, man. They know they can dismantle England for far less. The game is now for Australia to lose and even if Aussies bat whole day today they can still bowl out England easily tomorrow. England need wickets desperately now.

Is Woakes injured too? Hasn't bowled this morning with the test slipping away.

Interesting session of play. I don’t think England bowled terribly well, and Head threw his wicket away. A lead of 141 with 6 wickets in hand, 5 sessions to go - it’s about 50/50 at the moment.

50/50? Australia well ahead, particularly given that Woakes hasn't bowled today. Is he injured? If not than Root should resign as captain tonight. Ridiculous not to use one of your main strikers with the test moving away from you at pace.

Name the 4 Aussies who have made a century in both innings of an Ashes match? Answer: Warren Bardsley (1909) Arthur Morris (1947) Steve Waugh (1997) Matthew Hayden (2002)

Weather is going to play a part in this for sure England lose this it is down to having Oz at 122 for 8 and not having Anderson available to out Siddle and Lyon, then we would be having different conversations today. We are all sort of expecting Lyon to spin England out tomorrow but they have improved against spin, where they adopted different tactics against Lanka and rendered Herath as null and void. I just hope they go for an attack attack approach whatever the total they are faced with, no point in croaking it and wondering!
