To watch? And why? Now typically I'd go for my division rivals here - i.e. the Cowboys, Giants or 'Skins. However for me - it's all eyes on : The Cleveland Browns Baker is going to our next 'Must See TV QB' and become an entertainment Superstar - something Cam failed at. What team besides 'Your' team - are you most captivated by heading into this season? Go!

Browns - the reasons are obvious.
Chiefs - Mahomes is “must see” status.
Rams - has McVay adjusted his scheme after being humbled on the biggest stage?
Falcons - when healthy, their offense is explosive and Koetter at OC should do better than Sark.
Jets - Intriguing mix of characters and talent.

They don't need to adjust anything, they just need to execute. They were a Cooks drop and a Goff choke away from winning that game. If Goff makes that throw 3 seconds earlier when he should've (a blown coverage by Gilmore), there's no way Jason McCourty gets there in time to knock it away.

But when was he last fully healthy? His MVP year of 2015? Cam Newton is proof that the physical in sports is only half of the equation. If his mental approach and effort level was even half the level of his talent, he'd be a top 10 all time QB, I honestly believe that.

Missing the opportunity to score a lone touchdown doesn’t mean they would’ve won if they’d executed. Open receivers were there, but almost exclusively in the second half. They were shut out in the first half, for crying out loud. They rely too much on Aaron Donald to create pressure and Goff’s over-reliance on McVay’s instructions can be exploited. Sure, they had chances to score more than the 3 points they managed - that doesn’t mean nothing needs to change.

From a broader perspective you always need to improve, so of course some changes need to be made. My point was it's not like it was over at the half. Goff shit his pants the entire game and it was still a contest throughout. He hits a few of those open receivers and Gurley is at 100%, that game probably goes a different way. At the very least it would've required Brady to perform another miracle.

I'd say that title belongs to the 2007 or the 2011 Giants but I'd look like a poor sport either way. Pats and Giants both had bumpy regular seasons but came through when it counted, that's what the NFL is all about. I still can't believe the Pats beat the Chiefs in Arrowhead last year, even with that guy pointing a laser in Brady's face the whole time.

Most fascinated to watch for me besides the Eagles? The Patriots. Tom Brady trying to defy Father Time. Loss of Gronk. Other than the fact that their division is like Alabama playing division III schools, I think this season has the chance to be Belichick’s finest hour, and as much as I dislike them, I want to see what they can do one more time, hopefully ass-raping Andy Reid in the process.

And having their star RB healthy would be nice. Which I believe he is supposed to be. Although they said he would be going in to that game as well.

The obvious answer is the Browns. For the first time in my memory they will come into the season with expectations of winning... I'm not sure what the 'experts' are saying, but I'd think they might be favorites to win the division, which sounds insane because they are the Browns, but that's where we are.
I guess secondly I'd say Green Bay. I like watching Rodgers play, and now all those Packers fans that have been saying that Mike McCarthy has been holding him back from success finally see if that's true.

If he’s not completely bemused that females can understand the concept of routes, he’s having offers to switch airplane seats turned down. He’s definitely not boring, that’s for sure.

I give it two months before Rodgers is rolling his eyes on the field and changing LaFleur’s playcalls. He’ll also complete a Hail Mary at some point and bask in the media adoration that states he’s “back”.

Browns for me also. Not least that would imply a slaying of the asshat Steelers & Ravens, & even Bengals. I'm tired of that division's troll-like drama.
The Bears maybe, see if their QB actually has skills to play NFL football or he truly is revealed as a hyped hope. Trubisky can either prove me a capable Kirk Cousins' style QB, or he's really just another stupid Bears 'franchise QB' like McMahon & Grossman - hilariously inept.

Who's the first coach to get fired?
Could it be Bill O'Brien finally if the Texans start off slow.
Although wasn't it the Texans who started off 0-3 last year and went on an impressive run?
Would Jerry Jones dare can Jason Garrett if they started off like 0-4 with hopes of turning the season around?
Can't see this though - they've got a pretty easy 1st three games - GMen, Skins, Fins.

One of my favorite things about the NFL season is watching Thanksgiving Football - especially Lions Thanksgiving Football - reminds me of watching Barry Sanders make my jaw drop - most exciting player I ever saw play.

Lions Thanksgiving has to be top 10 depressing tv events of the sporting calendar. It's just always such a bleak game with their fans leaving the (domed, dimly lit*) building before the 4th even starts. The blessing is 12:30 start to make it feel over with faster.
