Not really any cycling fans around here, but 22 year old Colombian Egan Bernal riding only his second Grand Tour and the first as leader is going to win the biggest race in cycling tomorrow.
Geraint Thomas of GB/Wales finishes in second, and Steven Kruijswijk of the Netherlands finishes third.

Does he have any chance of catching 'The King'?

Even if Lance kept his Tours, Bernal is young enough to surpass him.

Have there been any doping controversies over the last few years? And how are the 'times'? i.e. are they well behind the times when everybody was doping? i.e. a slower finish?

The use of TUEs (therepeutic use exemption drugs) has caused controversy, but it isn't on the same level as the Armstrong era days.
Lance still has the highest recorded average speed for a winner if I recall, and the average speed of the winner has dipped slightly since then.
