Barring an unannounced deal, Yankees, Dodgers, Red Sox, all do nothing.
Oop, Dodgers got Jedd Gyorko. Earth shattering.

Astros have to be the favorite to win it all now. No doubt. Correa and Altuve are healthy also. And the bullpen is fine. This team knows how to play on October. Yankees rotation is rumbling before out eyes and the Red Sox are still hungover form 2018. It still amazes me how this organization turned itself around. In 2013, they were coming of the 2nd worst three year run is baseball history. That includes all the dog shit Phillies teams that routinely lost 100 games a year. The mid 19-teens A's that lost 109 games then lost 8 more the next year. That includes the 134 loss Cleveland Spiders. Only the expansion Mets were worse and not by a lot. Now they're a powerhouse. WS repeat of 2017?

other late moves coming in:
Phils acquire Dan Straily from the O's
Phils acquire OF Corey Dickerson from the Buccos
** Edit - OOOFF - Straily had a 9.82 ERA this year and was immediately optioned to Triple A by the Phils
This Dickerson acquisition doesn't sound half bad - was batting .317 with 18 Doubles this year with a .931 OPS

Mets didn't trade Zach Wheeler. Are they trying to win now? Wheeler walks after this season.
Rangers didn't trade Mike Minor. He's has team control beyond 2019 but his value will never ever be higher. He has 5 or 6 bad starts and they won't get crap for him. They aren't contenders now and won't b for the new park in 2020.

It’s not often that I will take the side of the Mets when it comes to their personnel decisions, but I’m guessing there wasn’t a huge market for Wheeler and they figure that they can make him a qualifying offer in the off-season. That way they’ll either have him next year, or they’ll have a high draft pick as compensation if he signs elsewhere. Either of those options has to be more appealing than some AA rando.
