Added 12 castmembers. I wasn't even aware Joss Whedon was making a new show. It's apparently a sci-fi series and is going to be on HBO (which I'm sure Whedon will take full advantage of). deadline.com/2019/07/the-nevers-joss-whedons-hbo-sci-fi-drama-series-adds-12-to-cast-1202657064/Of the ones mentioned, I'm most happy about... Laura Donnelly (who I've seen in a few things, but mostly know as Jamie's sister, Jenny, from the TV series Outlander. I thought she was really great in that show, so I'm pleased to see her score a lead role here). Olivia Williams (who I last watched in the TV series Counterpart, where she was pretty great. I've liked her ever since I first saw her in the 1998 movie Rushmore. Joss has also worked with her before on the TV series Dollhouse). Amy Manson (I think the last thing I saw her in was the TV series Once Upon A Time as Merida, but I've liked her in a few other things I've seen her in. She's also apparently in the new Doom: Annihilation movie). Eleanor Tomlinson (who I've seen in quite a few things, but I mainly know her from playing Demelza in the TV series Poldark. I wonder how she's going to manage doing two shows...unless she has been written out of Poldark. I wouldn't know, as I haven't watched the latest season as yet and am unspoiled for it). Other actors I recognise from things I've seen: Nick Frost, Tom Riley, Denis O’Hare, James Norton, Pip Torrens and Ben Chaplin. I don't think I'm familiar with any of the others.

I just hope there is enough diversity in the cast so that all the people in the world can feel included.

Thanks for sharing this Chalice. I do remember reading last year or the year before Joss Whedon was working on a new TV Show and there weren't many details about it at the time but I remember 'cause it was around the time he left the 'Batgirl' movie and they said he was going to work on other projects including a new Sci Fi TV Show and this appears to be it. I loved 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' and 'Angel' so I am curious to see what this is like and we will most likely watch it if they get it here in Australia.

biggest problem is the trailer gives no basis for why we should care, theres random stuff happening without consequence, which would be fine if we knew these plots and characters. Problem is it feels overstuffed and pulpy.

Personally i prefer to make up my ond mind of a show, and not let the opinion of other decide what my opinion of a show is. But that's just me

I've seen four episodes and I'm loving it so far.

It's a Ladies' actioner about female weirdos with exceptional abilities, and with a few men, particularly Ben Chaplin as a grumpy cop and James Norton, in his best role yet, playing an arrogant, stylish, aristo with a smooth tongue and devious motives. Worth watching for his performance (and Chaplin's). Pip Torrens is also outstanding as a stern British Empire loving Lord

I've seen her have guest star and recurring roles in shows, but this is the first one I know of where she's been the 'lead'. Amy Manson's character looks interesting. I'm also curious how much Eleanor Tomlinson is featured in the show, since she didn't seemed to be in that much of the trailer for the series.

Saw most of the premiere and got bored by it, guess it isn't for me.
