Wheelchair queen Eleanor Parker scored a hat trick
1) As singer Marjorie Lawrence in INTERRUPTED MELODY, crippled with polio 1955
2) as Sinatra's scheming and manipulative wife in THE MAN WITH THE GOLDEN ARM 1955
3) As rich recluse in EYE OF THE CAT, with a terrifying scene where the electronic wheelchair fails and leaves her speeding downhill into San Francisco's heavy traffic 1969
Well, that's pretty cool for you to have noticed it and put 1 + 1 + 1 all together. I did see "The Eye of the Cat". It was good and creepy.

The Deer Hunter. Along with Coming Home and Born on the Fourth of July, this makes three Vietnam films depicting characters in wheelchairs. Plus Lt. Dan in FORREST GUMP I remember when FG opened, people thought that Gary Sinese was an actual legless Viet Vet and his legs had been ADDED digitally. I'd already done this one on the first page, nay mind, just glad to have you back

can't find a better still, but recent birthday boy Nehemiah Persoff was the wheelchair bound Bondish villain of The Comancheros.

Wow! Quite a haul! Maybe quicker to list films not featuring wheelchairs?

Crna macka, beli macor , Black Cat, White Cat (1998) Emir Kusturica.. A wonderfully entertaining Serbian romantic, crime, comedy, a Gypsy film, filled with marvellous music and eccentric characters, beautifully filmed on the banks of the Danube River... Old time Gangster and community elder Grga PitiΔ, is confined to his customized wheelchair for mobility, he is obsessed with the last lines from Casablanca which he watches regularly .... "this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship",
