Do you know the moments between “things” and “sleep”? Like the few minutes or sometimes hours between you having to do things and sleeping?
Like at the absolute end of your day. You did your work. You did whatever house chores couldn’t be ignored any longer. You had your dinner. You showered You had sex with your partner or cried into the pillow And now it’s time to sleep.
But you have some time to spare. May be 15 minutes maybe 2 hours but it’s just yours, yours to spend it anyway you like, yours to rest. And feel good and undisturbed and happy that all that’s on the schedule for the rest of the day is... sleep.
I love those moments. I look forward to those moments almost each day.
Do you?

What about, instead, if one has sex with their pillow and cries about not having a partner?

I've actually had this same thought before, Nora. It's a kind of twilight period. For me, this period can be between 15 minutes and never longer than 45 minutes. Usually it's between 20-25 minutes. Like you said, it is a divine time, sublime. There is a feeling of safety that goes with this. And I like to fill it up with a very low-key level of tasks, the small things, like getting my lunch ready for the next day or brushing my teeth. But it's a very comfortable time. I like it best when it happens around 11:30 pm. That's the goldilocks hour!

I loooooooooove my sleep, love my dreams! I loved it when Luis Bunuel said that if he had his druthers he would spend around 21 hours a day sleeping/dreaming and 3 hours a day with his work. I adore those proportions! I just wish I could find a few people IRL who felt that way, too.

What about, instead, if one has sex with their pillow and cries about not having a partner? Or have sex, then cry about it?
She wasn't clear with her options.

technically, the word “or” indicates its not a cummulative but alternative list of options.... but if crying afte sex if your thing, certainly suit yourself, Paul

That statement say so much about you, Nora. So much. what does it say? You had sex with your partner or cried into the pillow says limited choices. What about contentment with neither? XOXO
