Do you enjoy any songs recorded by Pat Benatar and Cyndi Lauper?
Thanks!

Never understood 'Beavis And Butthead' so glad they never liked the music I like. Never made me laugh once when I've seen them. The self-proclaimed "bad boys" at my school worshipped them, always doing the repetitive laugh, the snarky voices and snide sneers. They called them 'B & B' and showcased them in their personal MTV sticker collections. If a kid dared say anything against them they got beats.
I know you like a certain style of singer, Vera Lynn, Shirley Bassey, Kathy Kirby, Cilla Black. I'm not well versed on their music.

She doesn’t really suck. I just wanted to post the video. I liked the “she’s leaving home and she’s only thirty” line! Must admit Love is a Battlefield is pretty ropey, but Hit me with your best shot is OK.

It's no problem, I just replied because I decided not to watch the video you posted as I genuinely have never enjoyed the work of 'Beavis And Butthead'. Whether she sucks or not, I don't know, but I do feel she's a person I would personally choose to recognise as having talent. I feel I just hear it with my ears (regardless of what I do or don't think of the music). She's worked the circuit in tough industrial towns and cities in America to get to where she got to, in addition to playing a variety of theatrical shows in New York, and anything she has achieved I feel can be put down to her work ethic.
Beth Roars on Pat Benatar
I'm on a high because I loved seeing her performance at the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame inductions. It was screened on SKY Arts and it's the first ceremony I've seen in full. I saw what it meant to her and Neil Giraldo who's one hell of a guitarist in my opinion. He's also from Cleveland, Ohio, where the Hall was built.
Neil Giraldo & Pat Benatar
We live in a rightfully angry, negative and cynical world where it's easy to say it's all a load of trash, I get that (perhaps it all is). I just think when you're Pat Benatar, performing shows of some kind or another for around 50 years, spilling blood, sweat and tears on the road, seeing fights break out and the like, and then you walk through a building where you see your picture hanging alongside so many performers and musicians that inspired you to do what you do ... it must be an emotional experience. On the flipside, you see with someone like Todd Rundgren, where it didn't mean anything in particular to him, yet he embraced being inducted because he knew how much it meant to the fans who'd supported him for decades (they'd been calling for it). So, I say hats off Ms. Benatar, I only ever heard nice things said about her as a person.
