I've enjoyed terrible films, and I've enjoyed forgettable films (even if I remember nothing about them within a matter of days), so it's hard to say.

I say being terrible, being forgettable, well, if its a bad one I'd like to forget about it then.

Being terrible.
That isn't even a hard choice for me. Terrible movies have ruined my whole day before.

Being terrible. I can always go back to a forgettable movie. Yeah. Plus, forgettable films are ideal to watch when one is tired and has nothing better to do.

Being terrible. At least forgettable films can have some merit to them even though they're forgettable.

Being terrible. At least forgettable films can have some merit to them even though they're forgettable. Plus, forgettable films can be quite watchable if you like the star or are a fan of the genre.

At least you can watch a terrible film and make fun of it. Forgettable films are a waste of time to me.

Terrible, it's obviously the worse of the two and that's not even up for debate. i am surprised someone actually selected Forgettable over Terrible as i don't think they understand what those mean as i can't see how it's possible a Forgettable movie is WORST THAN a Terrible movie. did you really even need to ask? (no offense) ; it's pretty obvious a terrible movie is worse than being forgettable as forgettable usually means watchable but, well, forgettable (i.e. generally average-ish) where as terrible tends to be, well, quite bad (i.e. below average at best but more towards failure and/or boring status). so it's obvious which is the worse of the two. but when i think of negative score movies, in a more basic sense, it basically breaks down like this (from best(least sin) to worst(worst sin))... 1.Forgettable (typically 5/10's(Thumbs Down) which are usually decent enough not to have wasted my time but in the end, as you said, 'forgettable') 2.Terrible (basically 2-3/10's(2's = boring(could not finish due to boredom), 3/10's failure(finished watching, but are quite bad basically)), but definitely no higher than a 4/10 which is my below average score) 3.Greatly Dislike (basically my 1/10's which only four movies managed to land here) politicidal in a very basic sense i completely agree as movies ultimately are either one of two categories which for me are... -Thumbs Up = 6/10 or higher (will re-watch) -Thumbs Down = 5/10 and less (won't re-watch(with rare exception)) but my 7's and higher tend to see the most re-watches which anything i give a 7 or higher is amongst My Favorite Movies which currently contains 199 movies currently. NOTE: anything i give a 6-6.5/10 is a bit outside of my favorites which counting my 6-6.5/10 and higher that would be 248 movies currently. but with that said... there are plenty of movies i have seen and while i would not re-watch them they are no where near those really low score ranges. so going by your wording i could not entirely agree there as just because a movie has no re-watch value for me does not make it terrible, but definitely forgettable though (i am sure there are some movies i have seen that i have actually forgotten that i have seen out of the 2,100+ total movies i have seen) as movies of any real worth as ones that should be re-watched from time-to-time as the years pass and movies that do not hold up on that very basic test are ultimately forgettable/no real worth. pippinmaniac but are those truly terrible? because when i think Terrible i don't see any positive in them much at all. something you can make fun of you basically have to like on some level. that's why it makes no sense saying a Forgettable movie is worse than a Terrible movie as clearly something that's Terrible is worse than something that's Forgettable as something that's Forgettable generally means it's not THAT bad to begin with. p.s. i understand there are some movies people consider 'bad' but still like them. but i don't think those movies are truly that bad to begin with as something that can be enjoyed on some level for a random person should keep it out of those super low scores as those super low scores are the truly Terrible movies.

Being terrible is a greater sin for a movie to commit than being forgettable.

Being forgettable. I'd hate to forget a movie I didn't like and end up watching the stupid thing again.

For me, being terrible is worse. I've watched hundreds of forgettable movies, and it hasn't bothered me a bit.
