Time is clearly a Toxic Feminist propaganda rag suitable to be used as toilet paper. Someone should tell them about Beatrix Kiddo to educate them. And Time thinking the amount of lines has any relevance is clearly pig ignorant of them.

We need a Committee on Public Virtue to monitor the films, television, shows, books, and papers we're exposed to.
It works well in Saudi Arabia. It can work fine here.
One more thing. These message boards need to be watched.

It's about time they focused on such a vital problem facing the world today. The thought of some spoiled white actress sitting in an air conditioned trailer all day and then only being allowed to say 4 lines of dialogue is heart breaking. I wonder what the word count of female writers vs male writers at Time magazine looks like?

Doesn't Time have anything better to do than to write crap like this? Are they that desperate?

It's funny that they were going to not originally going to count Death Proof because of the lame reason that it was a part of Grindhouse. QT counts it as one of his films. I imagine they wanted to skew their numbers since the majority of the film follows women around and there is a massively long dialog between nothing but women in a diner.

Of his nine films, four of them feature women as the central protagonist. How many films has Scorsese made and how many feature women as the central protagonist? Spielberg? Paul Thomas Anderson? Need I go on? That article is a joke.

They may want to stay away from movies like Shawshank Redemption or Glengarry Glen Ross or boiler room or city slickers 2, they may have a heart attack

If you're referring to me, please explain. You were happy enough to defend her woke BS to the death and yet this is a "joke." She was right, this article is wrong. She said she wanted more diverse representation in film critique. This article is making a false accusation that Tarantino doesn't give fair representation to women in his films. In your mind it's all just 'woke' or whatever the next label somebody comes up with, but some statements are true while others are false.

It's factually correct, just like the findings of the “Critic’s Choice” study, published by USC Annenberg, which Larson was so fond of quoting.

It attempts to suggest Tarantino doesn't give women their due onscreen. He's made nine films and four of them feature female central protagonists. Almost half. The other guys I mentioned don't have anywhere near as many, proportionately or by single count to my knowledge, that fit that criteria despite having much larger catalogs. Therefore the argument the article is making (the amount of dialog is the evidence, not the argument) is clearly false.

In anyway, perhaps they are all "sexist woman haters" too? I'm sure USC Annenberg could easily prove that if they wanted to.
