As someone with experience in the matter, along with a long life of savvy among many groups of people, and perfectly understanding of the subject, even more so than my acing Psych 1 and 2, and Soc. 1 and 2 in college, I can verify that Hollywood and video game producers have tons more impact on individuals and gangs believing in violence as a religion than anything any Republican or Democrat ever says.
Likewise, peers have much more influence than parents. Tons more.
It all begins with the basic "dehumanization" of others, along with "rationalization" and "compartmentalization". All of these intersect closely. People naturally want to play God. Sure, some can let off steam in video games, but those video games feed the demon that conspires with other demons to dehumanize, rationalize, and compartmentalize.
And the people who make movies and who make video games know this. They do this on purpose, because they want to play an even bigger God (or more appropriately, an even bigger Devil). In fact, more people imagine themselves a devil or anti-Christ than a god or Christ, simply because it's so much easier to achieve the personality of a devil or anti-Christ.
