A- from me... tighter knit than the first without the kids who annoyed me... doesn't have JP2's Michael Bay Transformers style final act... & didn't put me to sleep like JW.
It plays the most as a pure monster movie of them all. The pterodactyl cage is a highlight of the entire franchise for me - imaginative & well done. Had it a longer run time, I might've enjoyed it less - as it was, it dives right in & gives the goods. Sam Neill adds a nice bridge to the first film.

Wasn't a fan of the characters who weren't Sam Neil, some fun action scenes, and ".......Allen!"

I gave it a 6/10. I likes that Sam Neil returned but hated the Spino/T-Rex fight and the feathered raptors. I thought Leoni's character was annoying and wanted her to be eaten.

Not as good as the first one but better than the second one.

Storywise, I thought it was the best of the three (haven't seen the 4th). A simple adventure films which is what the other ones should have been. The only real weak point is the abrupt ending.
Sam Neill was given more character depth (rather interesting in fact, since it implies his relationship with Dern fizzled out (never found it realistic anyway). He was a fossil, but it is really about him coming round to facing his demons and being happy with dinosaurs again. The kid(s) were the least irritating of the 3 films. The "family" theme they shoehorn into every movie these days grates on the nerves but it isn't as clumsy as in the previous films.
Personally, I liked the Lost World best for animation scenes, but as a story JP 3 is best. Joe Johnston films--I never include them among my favorites, but he is an old fashioned kind of journeyman director and they are sorely missing these days.
Hated the first one. Too much with the obnoxious kids, discussions of chaos, and Spielberg did everything he could not to show dinosaurs in full because he hated stop motion and couldnt retool the film to factor in the CGI advances. He wanted to emphasize the raptors which simply were not as impressive as the T-rex.
The T-rex at the end literally appears out of thin air.

5/10. Worst of the series. Characters in these movies tend to do stupid things, but the main characters here were the worst offenders.

Seems almost like an afterthought, it never feels authentic, which is something I think the first two films did achieve. Has some effective moments but I can't give it more than a 5/10.

I enjoyed it, certainly better than the 2nd film in the series. Loved the scene where the mobile phone is ringing in a huge pile of dino-droppings lol , I sometimes struggle to hear my phone when it's in my jacket, so for a phone to be heard so clearly through 2 feet of dino-turds while floating down the river on a boat is impressive ! 7/10

4/10
My least favorite of the original trilogy. I have only seen it once and the only thing I actually remembers as of that experience was that I had a terrible flu and was pretty much "trapped" in my bed for several days, just watching films hoping to get better, that and some character in the film drops or loses his mobile phone in a huge pile of dinosaur turd, that and I hated the new "baddie", the spinosaurus. Maybe I should try and give it a go, as it have been too long since I last saw the trilogy.
