You're not concerned about going to Hell? It's for eternity, friend! Any God that would punish someone for eternity is a douche-bag. You should consider worshiping a God that isn't a vindictive sensitive child. I think the OP should could consider improving the 'here and now' and not worry about the 'hereafter'.
I would also like to know why the OP considers Christianity the ultimate truth, and doesn't consider Hinduism as the ultimate truth - after all, Hinduism is 5,000 years old and Christianity is the new kid on the block.
Bottom line: To SomebodyFriendly - I used to be you. Then logic, reason and science opened up the real world. You still have a chance to live an authentic life. Live in the here and now.

It's doubtful that SomebodyFrindly is a sincere poster, but rather another sockpuppet out to make Christians look as silly as possible.

Meh, it depends on who the bad guy is. I'm in the camp of killing demons being a good thing. However, I hate most horror movies for reasons beyond religion. The most important one is I don't want to spend the night thinking said demon is going to jump out of the closet and stab my eyes out. Some are "better" than others just as some "westerns" are better than others and some musicals are better than others and so on. I think you have to evaluate their "redeeming social values" on a case by case basis.

These movies are antithetical to Christian values. Please don't watch them. I'm trying to save your souls. "Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls." James 1:21 'Horror movie' can a subjective label. I personally found Gibson's Passion of the Christ pretty horrific, for instance. Also it is not clear whether your proscription also applies to films of terror as well as horror - or those films (like those of Val Lewton, say) which eschew explicit horror for dread and suspense. Or what about those horror films which are not at all horrifying, the teen-friendly pap which continually clogs the straight-to-DVD shelves? Or, come to that, films in which the horror is there as part of a strong moral message, a necessary representation of evil, shown as a warning from history or to deliberately repulse us - Son of Saul for instance?
