Yes - I like to support my team or No - you're asking for trouble Go! (Disclaimer - I'm appalled at the below behavior and do not condone any of these actions whatsoever - this is one of the many reasons I stopped going to games.)

Have in the past and will in the future.
Haven't been murdered yet, but I also haven't gone to a game in Philly yet.

Have in the past and will in the future. Haven't been murdered yet, but I also haven't gone to a game in Philly yet. I'm also assuming you don't get blackout drunk at games or start talking shit to people in the stadium. From what I can see in these videos, those two factors have more to do with brawling in the stands than what shirt you're wearing.

Unfortunately these games are filled (like a lot of cities) with a lot of drunks with beer muscles - wasn't fun anymore when I hit my mid 20s. Rather enjoy a game in the comfort of my home - not bombed in the stands and you can barely tell what's going on because you started tailgating at like 8am.

Β Very true. I cheer for my team and acknowledge other fans on my side, but when people give me shit I just smile politely as I know I have it coming, and sometimes it's funny. I've never experienced any real deal anger or violence directed at me. A lot of douche baggery and really bad attempts at jokes and insults, but nothing threatening... ..but again, I haven't gone to a game in Philly.

When we didn't have a team, I used to wear RAIDERS gear to Chiefs games.

I haven't been to a home game in a whole, but we used to start tailgating at 8am. I never understood getting blackout drunk and not remember a game a paid 125 bucks to get into though. Especially since I had to drive home. We cooked a lot, I drank moderately, but I never liked to drink in the stadium because I'd rather remember the game, sober up in those hours to drive home safely, and not spend 12 dollars on a single beer. Not every0ne follows that practice though of course. I'll get to a Eagles/Giants game in Philly one of thses days, but I do have some trepidation going there that I haven't in other cities. If the Eagle fans that come up to the Meadowlands are any indication, they'd make things very unpleasant down there. Some day I'll go though.

I have a buddy who's a Jets fan and he's worn his gear to Jets/Pats games in Foxborough. Of course some people give him a hard time but he's laidback so not surprisingly, he hasn't gotten into any fights.

People talk shit about Philly and visiting fans. Whatβs the body count for visiting fans to Dodgers Stadium?

I've been to a few Red Sox games in Cleveland and I wore my jersey. A couple four looks was all I got.
Opposing fans at Bills games are usually just in for some good natured ribbing. Unless they are obnoxious. At the first AFC Championship game in the Super Bowl run, there was a group of about 8 Raiders fans who were mouthy as hell. "The Bills are like 7-Up. Never had it, never will." Shit like that. They had some beverages tossed their way. They got real quiet, real quick because the Bills thumped them 51-3. After the game, everyone was making their way out. There's paved walkways to get to parking (stadium sets in a hole). A couple of the Raiders fans went up the grass bank and one slipped and fell, wearing his Raiders jacket. You could hear a leather lunged person from the stadium yell "Hey, the Raiders fan fell in the mud!" and about 20,000 people laughed. Poor bastard.

I found out the hard way you do NOT wear Giants stuff at Dodger stadium. Dodger stadium is full of lowlifes who don't understand it's just a game and now a representation of your country worthy of war.
On the other hand, if you wear Dodger stuff at the Giants stadium, fans there will eat some garlic fries.

No one at either stadium cares if you wear the other ones stuff. I use to have shorts like this. I used to wear them in both stadiums. The only peopel who cared, literally were my Giants friends when we were in teh Giants stadium.

I remember some Phils playoff series circa 2008/9 - would have expected the park to be jammed packed. Fans showed up late and left early - was appalling and I was in shock since it was the playoffs - couldn't believe the empty seats.

LA is the absolute worst as far as getting to the game late and leaving early. I've been to probably a hundred games there, it's embarrassing. The big joke is how many people had left the stadium in the 88 World Series when Eck was pitching before Gibson came up and how many thousands of people claim to have seen it in person, which is a big lie. On the other hand, traffic plays a big role out there and getting stuck in traffic and trying to beat the traffic are a part of it too.
