I think some movies listed in this topic don't even really qualify for 'Comedy'. plus, my list will be much shorter if I restrict it to straight comedies only which is why I am just going to allow straight comedies along with drama/comedy mixtures.

so with that said, here are my favorites (IN NO ORDER)...

-Find Me Guilty (2006)
-The Matador (2005) (this is my favorite Pierce Brosnan movie straight up. Brosnan/Kinnear work well together which sells it)
-My Cousin Vinny (1992)
-The Whole Nine Yards (2000)
-O Brother, Where Are Thou? (2000)
-Happy Gilmore (1996) (the movie ill remember Adam Sandler for and I doubt I am the only person who feels this way about this movie. definitely one of the top straight comedies)
-Planes, Trains and Automobiles (1987) (definitely one of the very best straight comedies)
-At Middleton (2013) (NOTE: I am not totally sure I am going to list this as 'Comedy' but IMDb shows 'Comedy | Romance'. so screw it, ill list it)
-Carnage (2011)
-Sideways (2004) (I would probably say it's a bit more drama than comedy but it's probably close enough to a comedy to list it as it's got it's laughs)
-Maverick (1994)
-Christmas Vacation (1989) (definitely one of the top straight comedies)
-The Last Detail (1973) (my 2nd favorite Jack Nicholson movie. IMDb lists it as 'Comedy | Drama')


NOTE: I could have listed some more if I strictly stuck to anything IMDb shows as a 'Comedy' apart of the genre but those movies I don't think have enough comedy to more legitimately qualify for the topic. so I am largely sticking to stuff that's either a outright straight comedy or sort of a decent Comedy/Drama mixture, or thereabouts.

Really tough to narrow it down to ten.
