why do some men feel the need to control everything a woman does? which is a much better question. Are you suggesting I am the guy that needs to control what women do? not in the slightest. i am thinking out loud, as i always do.

I think it's to get attention from people in order for them to listen about a cause or situation. It's like blowing a whistle, except that for women even blowing a whistle gets us no attention at times, but dropping clothing always turns heads... once the head is turned towards you, you can speak as to the reason why you dropped clothing. Do you think being naked is a good way to get a man to listen to your opinions on politics, or animal rights? I would be far too concerned with not looking at your girl bits to actually listen to what you were saying.

But the primary reason to get naked is to get the attention, once attention is attained I may cover up again who knows... I think the getting naked is a comment/statement on how still to this day women feel they are not being paid attention to when they are talking. It's like the #neverthelessshe persisted thing that happened a couple of months ago. It's not about ok now I got your attention listen ... it's the only way to get your attention still in this day and age is to do this.

No, I promise you I would not be paying attention to whatever politics you were talking about if you were naked. Maybe they should make decent points? Or be interesting? Men don't get attention just because they are men. So, Theresa May, Angela Merkel and Marine Le Penn drop their knickers before party conferences just so the boys will listen to the girls they've let pretend to be in charge? Have a point, know what you're talking about, people will listen. The idea that women don't get a voice is a bit laughable, y'all never shut up.

I don't think they think that. I think they think it gets attention and that you have to get attention before anyone will listen to you.
I also think sometimes it can be symbolic. With animal protests it symbolically brings us closer to animals. With feminism it's a rejection of the desire of some men to control women's bodies and sexuality.

Whats the point of being listened to if the listener doesn't take you seriously? You can get my attention by punching me in the face, doubt I'll have much time for your views on climate change if you do though.

Were you playing devils advocate, or do you really think women can only get attention by their bodies?

Personally, my taking them seriously or not would have nothing to do with their method of protesting. In fact, if you aren't going to take them seriously because of how they protest then you probably weren't very open to taking them seriously to begin with. Further, I'd suggest there's no point in people taking you seriously if nobody is paying attention. Causing physical harm to someone is hardly the equivalent of being nude. Unless one of those protesters tries to put your eye out with a nipple.

On a related note a federal judge here in the US has ruled that women can expose their breasts in public as it is no difference to a man going shirtless in public.
I for one applaud this new turn in equlity of the sexes.

Who would you think worth listening to more, the women in a suitor the women in her knickers covered in fake blood? That is obviously not true. This is also obviously not true. If you approach me dressed well and well groomed to talk about an issues, I'll probably engage with you. If you approach me dressed in a nappy and covered in dog crap, I won't. Are you more likely to listen to a person you take seriously?

And random people commenting on YouTube don't count. Again, my evaluation of the worthiness of listening to what they say wouldn't be dependent on what they wore or didn't wear. How so? Well, that's you. Not everybody's you. I take everybody seriously until they prove to me they don't deserve it via what they say.

Have they ever acheived anything through nudity? Method of protest makes no difference to whether you take the protest seriously? Not everyone is you either, but there is a reason MP's don't tend to campaign in football shirts.
