-Seat kicked... while I would agree this would be quite annoying, I suspect this probably don't happen all that much(?). because unless you got some kid behind you who can't sit still, chances are no adult range person would do this for any length of time simply because if they do, they must surely be doing it on purpose and should not be the the theaters in the first place.
-Talking... this must surely be the all around #1 option because it comes back to general noise which I tend to assume is what annoys people in general in the theaters.
-Phone use... this largely boils down to whether the phone is making noise or not. because if the person is quiet and is just touching their screen and is silent, it's not a issue. but if they are say texting and there is noise coming from the phone, then it's clearly a problem, especially if they are on it for any length of time.
maxwellperfectI am assuming your exaggerating?
because if that's even close to being true that's WAY too long for commercials. because say a movie is officially scheduled for 8pm. if the movie itself is not started within a reasonable time frame after that (say 10-15min max), they need to scale back the BS as people paid for a seat so they should not have to watch many advertisements and the like. although if it's showing trailers for movies I would not mind to some degree as long as they don't go on-and-on.
twothousandonemarkNaturally

those are the kinds of people who have no respect for others in general ill bet. basically the trash types of people. not necessarily trash in the sense they are slobs, but in a sense they don't even have a basic level of respect for others it makes them trash. it's like common courtesy does not exist for these kinds of people as it really goes without saying that the critical factor in being respectful of others in the theaters is keeping ones noise levels to a minimum. I don't mind a little, say whispering briefly, or if someone has to cough a little, as stuff happens, but after a certain point you should flat out not be in the theaters.
I doubt anyone would disagree as phone lights alone would not be that bad. it's only if the phone projects noise (like if they where texting etc) is when it would become a real problem, especially if the person goes on-and-on for minutes or longer at a time.
p.s. but in all honesty, someone who's going to watch a movie in the theaters should just flat out turn off their phone as there is very little to no reason someone should have their phone on in the theaters as it's only a couple hours or so of ones time and almost no one can't keep their phones off for that little bit of time.
janntoshI would agree but that could be put into the 'talking' category which is general noise.
jamesbamesyI am not sure about that as ill comment on them fairly quick...
1. Having your seat kicked - 29.5% - I agree with this one obviously.
2. Talking - 24.1% - I agree with this one obviously since it must surely be the #1 issue people have a problem with since it comes back to general 'noise'.
3. Phone use - 15.8% - This depends. if there is no noise coming from the phone, it won't be that bad. but if there is, then it's definitely a issue.
4. Eating noisy food - 7.5% - I agree with this to some degree but unless the sound system is pretty quiet or there is some quiet scene that's harder to hear, noisy food should not be too bad, especially if they don't go on for any length of time crunching away on the noisy food.
5. People who sit in the wrong seat and refuse to move - 6.9% - Is this even a issue? ; because I never been to a theater where people have specific seats to sit at as you just buy a ticket and can sit wherever you want as it's a first come first serve type of thing as those that get their first get the seats they want.
6. Walking in and out during the film - 5.5% - this is really a non-issue unless they got to constantly climb over people to get out of their seat in which case it could become a issue if it happens more than maybe 2-3 times tops during the movie.
7. Kissing and cuddling - 3.2%% - I can't imagine this is a issue unless the person is somehow really loud about it. like moving around blocking someones view or leaning into the person in the next seat etc.
8. Someone encroaching on your seat - 3% - If someone was actually doing this I could see it being a issue but I can't imagine this is all that common? ; because as long as someone just sits in their seat like a normal person and is not constantly moving around etc this should be mostly a non-issue even though, given the way people are, I would not bet against it happening to some people here and there. but when it does happen, especially if your already tight for space in the seat it could get annoying pretty quickly.
9. Eating smelly food - 2.9% - is this even a legit complaint? ; basically a non-issue as far as I can see.
10. Slurping drinks - 1.6% - I could see this being a issue but only if the person goes on and on with it. if it's fairly briefly and they are done with it, then it's not a real problem. but if they start slurping a drink and it's making that noise fairly steady for several minutes that's going to get annoying fast. but who's going to slurp a empty drink more than maybe a 5-10 seconds tops etc?
and personally... I think slurping a empty drink, especially if it goes on for any length of time, is easily more annoying than #9/8/6/5 and possibly some others depending on the details etc.
