I am 100 percent convinced that he could fix it and bring it back to life.

Alien franchise is done. Creatively speaking. They were lucky they even got a second good movie out of it. At the most. the Alien is only interesting enough to sustain two movies Alien and Aliens. Which also explains why Aliens is pretty much a remake of Alien.
You can only do so much with any given idea. Which is why franchises usually don.t work.
Superman movies. Alien movies. Terminator movies. Godfather movies. Star wars movies . Robocop movies. All have this same thing in common.

When you have a bunch of high school kids and a shoestring budget do more fresh and creatively with a franchise than with a returning director and a large budget (Ridley Scott with Alien: Covenant), you know your franchise has problems.  |

anthonyrocksI would not be so sure about that because look at the Terminator movies for example... it seems the first two people generally praise and then fizzles out after that. I can't see Alien being any different.

Happy Bday to one and only James "King of the World" Cameron! Can't wait til Avatar is re released again so not only I can see it in IMAX 3D again but so it can take back the number one spot!
Say what you want about Mr Cameron but he pushes the envelope and puts the butts in the seats. Truly a one of a kind talent.
