How do you think Chuck is planning to use his incriminating tape? He's agreed with Hamlin that it won't stand up in court.

Of course it wont stand up in court. It was recorded without Jimmy's knowledge as well as without a judge signing off on it making it a legal wiretap. Whos to say that the tape wasn't doctored?Thats why unverified and illegally obtained tapes dont hold up in court
Chuck can still try to send it to the news. The court of public opinion needs no judges permission. Chuck will try to get it released publicly , destroying Jimmys reputation so he cant be a lawyer anymore. It would be poetic justice since Jimmy ruined chucks flawless reputation by changing that affidavit around last season.
Of course this wont happen. The tape will never see the light of day since Saul Goodman had a decent ambulance chasing practice after this, as well as his face on tv every 5 min with those cheesy commercials and his waiting room was always full. Its obvious he wont be disbarred
At first I was thinking that this doe bring Jimmy down and he gets away with it by simply changing his name but I dont even think the name changing would matter if he got disbarred as Jimmy Mcgill and had to change his name since he has been on TV and billboards during Breaking Bad as well as BCS timelines. Changing his name shouldnt matter becuase of this.Everyone knows who he is.
My prediction?I think either Jimmy or Mike will get the tape and destroy it eventually. problem solved.

A popular theory is Chuck setup that scene where Ernie hears Jimmy confessing on the tape, and is banking on Ernie telling Jimmy, who will do something reckless to try and get the tape.

I'm leaning toward thinking that Chuck will use the tape to poison Kim's representation in the Mesa Verde action, making her recuse to protect her reputation and license. That will also drive a wedge between Kim and Jimmy, hitting him where it will hurt most. Additionally, since he's let Hamlin in on the tape, he'll get credit for bringing the client back.

If only there was some way to erase that tape.

I was thinking of something along those lines, too. We know at some point something is going to drive Jimmy to change his name.
On another note, who's bugging Mike? I bet it's Gus.

I just saw the next episode. Chucks plan is still dumb. I am very disappointed that Jimmy would be so stupid as to fall for this ( even after Chuck warned him he will pay for it not to mention Kim warning him that Chuck would be a worthy adversary.) Still he is not going to accomplish much with this. Chuck is an excellent lawyer but he underestimates Jimmy. And Jimmy will surely cut ties with Chuck for good- leaving him and his phobia for good.Chuck is still going to end up in a hospital or dead.

He maybe on the right side of the law but he has no moral compass as far as family is concerned. Just a jealous, bitter man, because people like Jimmy more, even his own mother did, and now he isn't even the only lawyer in the family and it eats him up. I still don't know what Chuck's intention is, perhaps use it as leverage to get Kim do drop her client out of spite, and get Jimmy to change his own name to distance their association? I wonder if Chuck's world will ever collide with Mike's? I fear there is going to be a fatal end for Kim at least. Incidentally, was the new secretary in Breaking Bad?

Kim is in too deep. She has to go all in or nothing here.

I just saw the last episode. Chucks plan is still dumb. He clearly didnt think this through. Jimmy is right. Chuck will die alone in the hospital without anyone supporting him. I hope Mesa Verde was worth it. Chuck could have let Kim have this one. Chuck owed Jimmy this for everything he did for him.
After seeing the end, I can just tell that this is all going to go badly for Chuck. You can almost hear the Looney Tunes theme ,LOL. Cant wait!

I stopped like Chuck after he had Jimmy arrested and is trying to have him disbarred.

As much as I hate Chuck, isn't he kinda right? Maybe his motivations are in the wrong place, but we know, we absolutely know Jimmy is on the wrong path.
Although some might say Chuck has had a hand in putting him on that path, a self-fulfilling prophecy perhaps?

Where chuck is in wrong for me is he is being arrogant and petty about it.im not rooting for jimmy, and i cringed when kim decided to join him at a new practice as it really felt like her sealing her fate as wwll. But chuck needs to not be so cold and resentful.

I found myself saying "F-yeah!" when Jimmy told Chuck that he was going to die alone after what had occurred. Chuck has this God complex that annoys the ever-loving crap out of me. He's just pure evil underneath that good guy routine.

I kept watching this only because of the Breaking Bad callbacks As smart as Chuck is, he truly is insane. Anyone with a phobic of electronics has to be. Jimmy deserved the medal of honor for putting up with it when Chucks wife even left him. I am glad that they always have 2 stories- One with Mike and one with Jimmy so it doesnt get too boring now. Chuck really should have let Kim have this one- Jimmy earned it for putting him with Chuck.
