13 memorable death scenes in a play, or in a movie based on that play (Subjective):
01. Marcus Brutus runs on his sword - Julius Caesar 02. Horace Giddens dies on the staircase - The Little Foxes 03. Tony - "Te adoro Anton" - West Side Story 04. Willy Loman suicides by pretending a car accident - Death of a Salesman 05. Richard III - A Horse! A Horse! My Kingdom for a Horse - Looking for Richard 06. The Yeomen of the Guard (1978) - Death of Jack Point (played by Tommy Steele would you believe? Very well too, and filmed in the Tower of London.) 12. Cleopatra clasps the asp 13. The Old Curiosity Shop - Death of Little Nell. (Oscar Wilde reputedly remarked that "One would have to have a heart of stone to read the death of little Nell without dissolving into tears...of laughter.". Why exactly he would have said that is puzzling. The death is not actually described in the book.
