I randomly watch anime when I’m in the mood for it...and this one took me by storm. I watched like 30 episodes in 2 days. It’s nothing ridiculously original...very strong Naruto feel as far as the main character goes, and some side characters are very reminiscent of other anime characters. All the typical tropes are there...i just find it very fun.

Some of the characters can be annoying at times, mostly Bakugo and his constant rage over nothing...and the more I watch the more I almost wish they’d have given Izuku a less glamorous power, or left him powerless and capitalized even more on his studious nature regarding other people’s quirks in order to exploit weaknesses and whatnot. But those are probably my only mild gripes after 2 seasons. Overall I’m loving it.

All of your issues are kind of addressed in the upcoming seasons and it becomes more balanced even as the heroes become more powerful

Finished season 3....thats all there is on hulu at the moment...
Loving it. The variety in characters personalities and power sets throughout the show but especially in Izukus class is probably my favorite aspect. I love how they all meld together or class outright. Even the way people like Kirishima and Bakugo "get along" is interesting to me. Stain is definitely best villain. Reminded me a lot of Hunter Zolomons Zoom from Flash comics. Twice is up there tho, and im glad he got some background toward the end of season 3. His conflicting answers cracked me up during his fights earlier.

There is so much variety in personality and power and most of them work very well which means they have to spend a lot of time on them even when it seems like they would be superficial. It suffers from what most anime suffers from in that it has to monologue a lot which I assume is a cultural thing.

Interesting thing I noticed rewatching some early episodes.
At the UA entrance exam they show the scoreboard and how many villain points and rescue points the top 10 have. Bakugo was first with 77 villain points and 0 rescue puts. Midprya was 7th with 0 villain points and 60 rescue points.
But several class 1B students are in the top 10. Ibara Shiozaki (green vine hair girl) was ranked 4th...Itsuka Kendo (big hands girl) was 5th...Tetsuetetsue Tetsuetetsue was tight behind Midoriya at 8th and Yosetsu Awatse (headband buy that melds things into flesh) rounded out the top 10.
