editorial.rottentomatoes.com/article/rt21-poll-winner-announcedMostly good picks. My favorite moment was the street folding in INCEPTION. I didn't find the moments from MOULIN ROUGE, ELF, BRIDESMAIDS, SELMA and FURY ROAD to be that memorable. Choosing THE JOKER as a character feels like cheating. With DEATHLY HALLOWS PART 2, I would've chosen NEVILLE's speech or MRS. WEASLY vs BELLATRIX instead. With MOONLIGHT, I would've chosen teen CHIRON getting back at the bully, adult CHIRON at the diner or the final scene instead.

Juan teaches Chiron to swim from Moonlight, one of the most memorable movie moments of the last 20 years? Um...ooookay.
Where are John Spartan and Janwhatsits at to bitch about forced diversity? I'd actually agree with them for a change.
Although there are perfectly nonsensical choices that don't have anything to do with diversity...like Elf. If you put a gun to my head and told me to recount whatever scene "Santa here?" is, my ass would be dead.
Surprising absences:
-anything from Fight Club -"My name is Maximus Decimus Meridius" -Tom Hanks losing Wilson -the Yakuza slowmo walk in Kill Bill -the "I wish I knew how to quit you" fight in Brokeback -the gas station scene in No Country
That's just eight years.

Mostly crap if you ask me especially given damn near all of those movies are a Thumbs Down in my mind, lacking four of the movies. but I will recognize something Heath Ledger's Joker character will be a solid pick for many in terms of a character from a movie people remember. but in terms of individual moments those kind of moments that stand out tend to be few among all movies in general.
with that said, I think one could break things down in different ways...
-Memorable moments (which is a scene from a movie)
-Memorable characters (which character(s) stand out the most in general) -Memorable movies (the movies themselves as, at least for me, if a movie does not stand out, it's hard to praise much about it in general)
p.s. but I will say out of those on the list I would go with The Joker overall as probably the most iconic of those on the list in terms of a well known character over the last 20 years or so. although out of the four movies I like on that list I would rank them like this in terms of the overall movies... 1)Furious 7 (6-6-5/10) 2)Wonder Woman(6/10) 3)The Matrix (6/10) 4)The Dark Knight (5.5-6/10). the rest... Thumbs Down. NOTE: I have not seen all of those movies but I have easily seen enough as I have seen about 14 of the 21 listed and I would not expect to think much of the movies I have not seen on that list.
