Judas Priest!! Hope I can see them again soon. Tremendous show. Though I did much prefer the set list from this past spring. This time it seemed like they just wanted to play the same songs that have been locked into the set for 30 years. Kind of the same thing with Deep Purple. Ozzy this weekend!

Glad to hear you enjoyed Priest. Just got tickets today for Ozzy with Priest supporting in January! Hopefully they get a good long set as this is my first time seeing them. Let us know how Ozzy is, also my first time seeing him solo. He was a bit ropey when I seen him with Sabbath last time.

THat's a pretty badass double bill. I heard Ozzy has been sounding pretty good on the tour so far. But he was always kind of hit and miss and he has his share of bad nights. But either way, I will make sure I appreciate this performance being it could be the last time I see him. Or at least 2nd to last

I had a good time seeing Glenn Hughes too, despite the Keswick's air conditioner not working, ugh, that was a bit rough, but I made the best of it and still enjoyed the show
and, Strung Out were good this past Sunday night, another great time at The Foundry, and the 2 openers were good, After the Fall and Makewar, aand, of course I never have to work too hard on a review of a punk show for you, lol...
Excited for Life of Agony this Saturday night at the TLA, and one of the openers is Silvertomb, a band with members of Type O and Agnostic Front, so that should be great

And tremendous it was! A great night all around, the guitarist and bassist of LOA were at their merch booth when I got there so I met them and got a pic with them, that was great, they were really cool, then I met and got a pic with the local opener, Year of the Knife, a metal/hardcore band from Delaware, they were cool too... and then the show started: Year of the Knife played first, they were good, I was up front at first for them but then some people started spinkicking so I quickly got away from there to avoid being slammed into or kicked in the head, owch.. I went up to the upper level for their last few songs, the TLA no longer has that big couch in the upper level, bummer, so I just used a stool to sit on, which was still fine.. Then Silvertomb came on after they finished, really good, I liked their sound a lot, nice to see some Type O members still continuing.. and then finally, LOA, who I really enjoyed, I don't remember the setlist too well but I do remember "This Time" being played about halfway in.. They were really good and I would definitely see them again... Mina Caputo really sounds exactly the same as Keith, no difference really

The Dokken show was pretty awesome on Sunday. A few decent openers I liked. Good show.

The Ratt show wednesday didn't go so well. Stephen Pearcy mixed alcohol with pain medication for his knee and got really drunk and couldn't perform too well. It was posted on Blabbermouth and clips all over the place were shown on all the sites But The Saturday Ratt show was phonomenal

I just saw Ratt in Vegas on the 29th. I thought Stephen's voice was a bit rough and he forgot some lyrics (which the crowd sang for him). And he had to pause 2 or 3 times during the show to say "Just let me look at you" to the crowd -- don't know if he needed to catch his breath. I was waaaaaaaay in the back, so I mainly had to watch on the video overhead. Reason being that I "camped" out early at the Sebastian Bach stage who performed before him. LOVE Sebastian -- I think he's one of the best vocalists of that time. Enjoyed seeing him and he had a lot of energy. (He made me very nervous with the swinging the microphone cord around and around!!) He got a little peeved during his final song, "Youth Gone Wild" as someone apparently didn't bring his little girl up on stage on time and she didn't get to dance too long.
Will be seeing Def Leppard on the 20th.

Yeah Pearcy paused a lot in between songs when I saw him which was kind of annoying, but I thought he pulled out a great performance at one of the shows. Sebastian also always puts on a great show.

Oh wow, that sucks about Stephen Pearcy.. And yes, I am behind on 3 reviews, I just recently got a new computer and haven't really been on the board since I got it, so here I am.. great new comp, Windows 10 is awesome!!!! And so, here are my last 3 reviews:
KANSAS Fri 10/5: Another excellent show from Kansas, they started out just playing random songs, and then played "Point of Know Return" start to finish.. It was a bit hot because it was sold out and packed, but not nearly as unbearable as the Glenn Hughes show
THRICE Sat 10/6: And another great time from Thrice, same setlist as usual, with a few new ones, but they still sounded great.. the first opener was on when I got there, Teenage Wrist, they were ok, and then The Bronx came on, good punk band, not actually FROM the Bronx, from L.A., haha, but still good nonetheless
GOO GOO DOLLS this past Friday, 10/12: Excellent show, they played their 1998 album "Dizzy Up the Girl" start to finish and then did a set of all random songs, sounded great!

Saw Def Leppard on Saturday. Really terrific -- a bit different from their playlist in Vegas last year as this was the only U.S. date where they played "Hysteria" in its entirety. Very simple stage set-up compared to Vegas, but fantastic lightwork and I enjoyed the photos/videos they played onscreen, many featuring Steve Clark. Joe Elliott's voice was in fine form and he was very gracious -- I really liked that he picked up virtually every lei that was thrown on stage at the end and wore them!!

Ok here we go, finally getting caught up, heh, I said I was going to get caught up this weekend and here I am typing on Monday morning, heh, I am such a procrastinator.. I'll just do a quick review of all the ones I've seen post-Goo Goo Dolls:
GARBAGE 10/25: Great show, another 20th anniversary tour, of their 1998 album "Version 2.0", I dunno if you know Garbage or not, they're an alternative band from the mid-to-late 90s with a very pretty female singer, a lot of their songs were on movie soundtracks from about 1997 to 2001 or so
CLUTCH 10/28: Excellent show, this was my first time seeing Clutch, they are awesome live! Sevendust were just as great as always of course, and the first opener was Tyler Bryant and The Shakedown, a good blues-y hard rock band from TN, I liked them a lot
CHRIS ROBINSON BROTHERHOOD 11/3: This is a new band of Chris Robinson, ex-Black Crowes singer, good band, a bit more jam band-ish sounding than The Black Crowes but still good, and still good live
SILVERSTEIN 11/18: Another anniversary tour, the 15-year anniversary tour of their first album from 2003, "When Broken Is Easily Fixed", dunno if you know Silverstein or not, they're a bit emo-ish but they're not too terribly whiny, I like them and they're always great live.. the openers were Hawthorne Heights, who were a bit whiny sounding but not too bad, I liked them, another band called As Cities Burn, didn't like them at all, very boring, and the first one was Capstan, good pop punk band from the Orlando area
Allrighty now I'm caught up, here's my holiday season schedule:
12/6: Blackberry Smoke
12/9: Underoath/Dance Gavin Dance/Crown the Empire
12/13: Eve 6
12/28: Gov't Mule (good blues-rock band from Warren Haynes, Allman Bros guitarist)
12/29: The Genesis Show
And so far for 2019:
2/16: Neal Morse Band
3/8: Nothing More/Of Mice & Men
3/14: Whiskey Myers (really good southern rock/country band)
3/22: The Musical Box
5/4: Marshall Tucker/The Outlaws(the show got moved to this date, not sure why, but still looking forward to it of course)

Sounds good I haven't seen Clutch in a few years. Have fun at Blackberry Smoke! they are awesome. I like Eve 6 also. If Marshall Tucker and the Outlaws are playing on the 4th, I'm hoping that means they're on M3 fest on the 6th. That'd be awesome

Saw Thirty Seconds to Mars at Park Theater in Vegas last week. They were part of the "Holiday Havoc" event, and played after 4 other acts (The Crystal Method, Grandson, Robert DeLong and Bishop Briggs). I didn't think any of them particularly matched the opening act and I could have done with much less.
After the late opening of doors and the opening acts, it was over 4 hours before Thirty Seconds. Jared's voice sounded great and I enjoyed the band's energy. Wish they played a bit more, as Jared spent a lot of time at the end picking people out of the audience to join them on stage. And he kept wanting the people in reserved seats to come down and stand in the general admission area around the stage. (Like, we've been waiting 4 hours for you, and some of us would not be able to see over other standing people's heads!!)

I also hate overcrowding in the GA section
