Cool, that sounds like a fun time, glad you enjoyed it despite the rain the first night, and glad to see you're using Uber too, I love it, so much easier and cheaper than taking a cab.. and regarding the 'no cars available' thing, that might have happened because you were in a rural, isolated area.. Usually when I use it in the city the car comes within a few minutes Well, it didn't exactly instill a lot of faith in me. God forbid if the hotel was 5 or 6 miles away we would've been majorly screwed.

Well, I guess if you really wanna be safe in the future, there's another app similar to Uber called Lyft, I haven't used it yet but it seems like it pretty much works the same, maybe you could get that so that way you'd have a backup if no Uber cars were available.. Oh crap, I just realized I never posted my Chevelle review from July 13th, here goes: The first opening band was Dinosaur Pile Up, who were at the MMRBQ this year but they were on early in the day so I didn't really hear them, I liked them though.. then the next band was Black Map, who I really enjoyed, I only knew one song by them, "Run Rabbit Run", but I really liked what I heard of the rest of their stuff.. and then Chevelle, who sounded just as great as always.. So overall a really fun night, really love The Fillmore, I look forward to enjoying more for years to come and now, Neal Morse Band at the Keswick tonight, wohoo can't wait for that!

and now here is my Neal Morse Band review: Got to the Keswick Village around 3:30 or so, I went early since I had VIP and wanted to eat somewhere around there, so I tried Tailgate BBQ right near it, really good, I liked it a lot and would definitely go back! Then I got a shake at the Weldon Soda Fountain right next to the Keswick, also a really good place that I liked a lot and would definitely go back to.. Then I picked up my ticket from the Will Call window and had some time to kill before the VIP, so this other guy who was picking up his ticket from Will Call too suggested we go around towards the back of the theater where their tour bus was parked to see if they would come out at all in between their soundcheck.. I figured I might as well, it was an nice day and I had time to kill, and of course a double meet & greet in one day would be awesome.. Well, they never came out, but we had fun talking, really cool guy from central PA who was a big Neal Morse fan, and liked my Kansas shirt whom he was a big fan of too, said he had seen them over 100 times, a true Wheat Head Then finally around 5:45 I went back to the front of the theater where other VIPs started lining up, and they let us in around 6, the VIP session went great, really nice guys and I got a pic and a signed poster, and bonus, after the VIP was done, they let us stay in, not like the last 2 VIPs where you had to go back out after the VIP was done, so that was really awesome! Great performance from Neal Morse Band, they sounded great Overall a fun day and a great end to a great summer concert season.. And now I'll be ready to start my fall concert season, with Offspring on Sept 14th

OH that sounds great. Glad it worked out. I never did VIP but you're the expert on that stuff. I'm not sure if I"ve heard his music or not. I like to get to shows early too. I now that name though. Maybe I have some of their stuff and don't remember.
Just got a ticket for Venom Inc. for Saturday and got my Metal Church ticket for September 10th. It's almost time to start looking forward to Rock allegiance.

Neal Morse is great, this was my 3rd time seeing him live, first 2 were with Transatlantic and Flying Colors.. I never saw him with Spock's Beard, Spock's Beard are still around, Neal just doesn't sing for them anymore.. and yea, I'm really starting to enjoy these VIP meet & greets.. it's great getting their early, getting to meet them and getting cool free stuff, and of course being able to get in before the regular attendees do, I'll definitely continue to do more as long as they're not too terribly expensive, $100 is the absolute highest I'll pay for one

Venom Inc. New York City 9/2 review: I'll keep this superbrief because nobody here cares. First band was called Convalescense (no idea how to spell that and I'm too lazy and drunk to look it up lol) Not a bad band if you like Deathcore. Next up was Toxic Holocaust. A kickass thrash band. The sound could've been better but they were great. This wasn't my first time seeing them. Goatwhore was next. This was the show stealer. Awesome band that just killed it. They got a huge pop from the crowd. Probably my 4th or 5th time seeing them over the years. Next was Venom Inc. Now I never was a Venom fan, but this wasn't bad. Some decent tracks. but Overall, Goatwhore and Toxic Holocaust was what I was there for. Great night of metal.

I think I've heard of Toxic Holocaust, don't think I've heard any of their stuff.. all I know about Goatwhore is that it's the same guy from Soilent Green

And now here's my Offspring review: Got there around 7:10, the first band was The Unlikely Candidate, some band from TX who I thought were very boring, I would have preferred The Menzingers as the opener, they're the opener for most of this tour, good punk band from Scranton, but for some reason they weren't playing this show, oh well.. And then The Offspring, who sounded just as great as usual, and luckily no t-storm delay this time, unlike the last time they played at Penns Landing in September.. Same setlist as usual pretty much but they still sounded great After Offspring it was a co-headline bill with Sublime, a reggae-rock band from the mid-90s who I'm not really a fan of so I didn't stay for them, and I was getting kinda tired after Offspring were done anyway So overall a great night, and now I anxiously await next Thursday for Epica/Lacuna Coil!!

Updated schedule for me: 10/15 Dokken
I just saw Dokken on September 1 at Vinyl at Hard Rock in Vegas. They only announced the show about 3 weeks prior, so I had to scramble for my airfare/hotel package!! They are one of my favorite bands of all time and I had only seen them once prior at a nightclub here in Honolulu.
Vinyl is a very small venue and I got there early enough to secure a front row spot by the stage. I adore Don Dokken, and while he certainly can't hit those notes anymore, it was a thrill to see them. He often turns the mike to the crowd for us to sing some of the parts. He did seem in good spirits, although tired from the show in Oregon the night before. I was on Jon Levin's side of the stage, and he's a damn good guitar player for a lawyer.
Let us know how your show goes!!

Nice, great review, I love Dokken, probably my favorite hair band
Great Epica show on Thursday night, I got there when a band called Insomnium were on, they were ok, kinda boring, wasn't really watching them.. then Lacuna Coil came on who were just as great as ever, Cristina looked just as hot as ever and sounded just as excellent as ever! And then of course, EPICA, who were just as amazing as always, and Simone looked just as gorgeous as ever, and sounded great... And as an added bonus, Cristina joined Epica for a song, so hearing Simone and Cristina sing together was amazing! Aaaand I guess I don't have to put too much more effort into this review since Epica aren't your favorite, haha, but it was a great night overall.. and now I'm excited for my doubleshot next weekend- Paramore Friday night and Devil Wears Prada Saturday

That is great to hear I"m glad you got to see the show. Unfortunately I don't think I will be able to attend the 10/15 show but at least I got to see them this past April. They are one of my favorites. I give you major props because you flew to see them. And you got up front. I will hopefully catch them next time around if I can't make it next week.

Yea, Sublime have a few catchy songs but overall they're not someone I'm all that nuts about.. And now here's my Paramore review, Devil Wears Prada review to come tonight: Paramore show was good last Friday night, it ended up selling out.. the opening band was a band called Best Coast, who I enjoyed, similar sound to Paramore... then Paramore came on and played for about an hour and a half, they sounded great, aand I guess I don't have to put too much more detail into it since they're not someone you're familiar with.. I guess I could post a few songs for you, I know that a girl-fronted pop-punk band is probably the last thing you have any desire to listen to, buut, you're more than welcome to give them a listen if you want

And now here's the Devil Wears Prada review, the one you're more interested in of course, haha.. So I got down to Hard Rock Cafe around 2:30 I think, found a seat at the bar and had a nice burger and shake, mmm nothing like a good meal at Hard Rock Cafe before a Troc show, it just fits so perfectly Then I walked to the Troc after I was done, I was on my way over there when you texted me about Black Map.. I got to the Troc around 4:20, it said on the ticket that VIPs needed to show up at 4:30 and the VIP session would start at 5, aand of course it didn't start till like 5:15, heh.. but nonetheless, it was another great VIP, this was the first one I did where I didn't get a laminate, just a wristband.. but, in addition to the signed poster I also got a hockey puck with the Devil Wears Prada logo on it which was awesome, and a slipmat with their logo too.. So they did the VIP, I met them and got my pic, really cool guys, then we did a little Q&A session with them since there were only about 20 VIPs, I asked them who their favorite band from their homestate of OH was, and, I forget what they said, I think it was some band I had never heard of Then we went back out and got let back in once the show started.. the openers were good, first one was a band called Thousand Below, they were good, then some band called Silent Planet who I enjoyed too, and then Veil of Maya, who were great once again.. I think I noticed they have a different singer now, not the same one that I saw them with at Summer Slaughter 2 years ago... And then finally, DWP, I was pretty tired by the time they were on but I dealt with it, they were great once again So overall a fun day

They must've got a pretty good turnout for that show.

Yea I was at Summer Slaughter 2015.. and actually, it didn't even sell enough tickets for the upper level to be open, quite unlike Friday night's Paramore show which was sold out

Woops forgot to post my Toadies/Local H review:
Well this was another show where not enough tickets were sold for the upper level to be open, so I had to stand the whole time, ugh.. but oh well, it was still good, Local H were just as great as always, and The Toadies were great too, aand I guess I don't need to say much more since I'm not sure if you know The Toadies that well or not..
